  2. justin_tx_16 here's an alteration of the klipsch logo that i did. i think it would be really cool as a background, like you could put it on a black background. you can do anything you want with it, just give me credit with my email address. *zen
  3. Could you specify as to which stands you bought? Such as the model number or name. I'm interested in buying those since they're only $50 compared to the Klipsch $98 ones. But also, do they have a hollow stand that the wires can feed through? Thanks. *zen
  4. You won't be able to put 14gigs of music on one cd. I suggest you go out and buy a tape backup drive which can have about 4-8gigs per tape, and you can back up all your music on that. Check out http://www.compusa.com for tape backup drives. *zen

  6. Ahhhhh, I wish I could download that now...I won't be happy until I hear that. But I can't connect to Napster because it seems they are doing some maintenance...damn...I guess it'll have to wait. Where did you find out about this song Torin? *zen
  7. BTW, I forgot to mention, the soundcard is a 2-channel soundcard so I use a RadioShack Y-splitter for the 2 mini-stereo plugs. *zen
  8. Hey Cabbage, I think I have a Crystal sound card (came with my mobo and is integrated on my mobo) and I just got my new 4.1's and my manual says the same thing. My Windows settings are: Master Volume: 100% Wave: 100% SW Synth: 100% CD Player: 100% PC Speaker: 100% -------------------- Subwoofer: 10 o'clock Surround: 100% Main Volume: very little And when I turn on my 4.1's they are pretty loud at only 9 o'clock. That's because my Windows settings are so high. If you try your Windows settings all the way up, you might get louder sound. But like someone else said, in worst case, you might have a bad amp. You better call up Klipsch if you don't have any success. BTW, my volume gets to be unbearably loud at 12 o'clock (Main Volume on pre-amp). Good luck. *zen
  9. Yes, it is going to help me (future tense) because I plan on doing this soon. Thanks. *zen
  10. Andy W, I agree with you, but I just wanted to give CatKnight something to think about. If I were to buy a headphone amp, I would probably pay the extra $50 and go for the Total Airhead anyways. *zen
  11. Amy, for the sake of placing my sub farther away from my CP-1, do you think that it is possible for the v.2-400 or 4.1 to get a regular din to mini din converter? And then convert it back to regular din to hook up to the sub? That would be awesome. *zen
  12. Also check out http://www.headphone.com They have tons of great headphones there and they have a mini quiz for you to see what kind of heaphones you should get. It's cool. *zen
  13. I got my 4.1's today. I think they're just incredible for the price. Actually, put aside the price, and I still think they're awesome. Nothing matches it in its category. The lack of midrange (for me) doesn't seem all that much, I am a big music fanatic, and even though there is a sligh midrange problem, Winamp's equalizer helps a lot. Do me a favor... Go Buy Them!s> *zen
  14. Either send them back to Klipsch to fix/replace *or* buy the new CP-1 pre-amp. I suggest the latter. *zen
  15. I got mine from PlanetMiniDisc.com I highly recommend them. *zen
  16. It really wouldn't matter for headphones whether you use the CP-1 jack or your soundcard. The soundcard usually does not provide amplification, and neither does the CP-1 (it does, but not good enough for high-end headphones) I suggest that if you want really good sound, and you have high-end headphones, that you hook up your headphones to a headphone amplifier and hook the amp into the CP-1 jack. If you don't have a heaphone amp, check out http://www.headphone.com you can get a good one, the Airhead, for $99. Also, the CP-1 does not come close to amplifying the heaphones like a headphone amp would. But this all depends on what you mean when you say "high quality headphones." If you could clarify as to what kind, that would help. *zen
  17. Just to let you all know, I got my 4.1's today and there are no problems as far as I know of. They sound great and my dad was excited to blast them very loud just like me. He came home from work and was like, "Come on! Let's go see those speakers!" and I played some good bass songs and he was very impressed. *zen ------------------ "A child of five could understand this...fetch me a child of five!" -Uh, someone
  18. Don't worry janko10, Canadians can't read, so you won't have to think about them... *zen "It's all fun and games until someone has to ruin it for everyone else by dying."
  19. All I have to say to Klipsch: TWO THUMBS UP!!!s> I am now listening to my new 4.1's and they kick ***, I mean arse! Mid-Range can be easily adjusted in Winamp and besides, these speaks are awesome. And the sub just thumps away. It's well worth every penny. I still have not had the chance to see if the sub's limiter has a big effect at high volumes because right now it's night...as much as I'd love to stir my street. Well, go buy them if you have the money, and if you don't, steal some, then buy 'em!! *zen ------------------ "A child of five could understand this...fetch me a child of five!" -Uh, someone

  21. I ordered my Klipsch 4.1's from PlanetMiniDisc.com last Monday, and they are in my town right now. They are scheduled for delivery to my house in about 2 hours!!! Woohoo! *zen ------------------ "A child of five could understand this...fetch me a child of five!" -Uh, someone
  22. Try PlanetMiniDisc.com and YawaOnline.com They may not be in stock, but they sell them. *zen
  23. Billie Jean, where could I get a pair of just quintets? I mean, I'm not getting them, but I thought that they only came in the four quintet/subwoofer setup that Klipsch has for $800. But I guess I am wrong, so... *zen ------------------ soon-to-have system for oc'ing: Duron 700 MHz, Alpha PAL6035 with Delta Black label fan, Abit KT7 mobo, Crucial 128MB PC133, some old 5GB 5400RPM drive, Diamond Monster Fusion 16MB Voodoo Banshee, Creative SB Live! 5.1 X-Gamer, Creative 36x CDROM, Sony Spressa 8x/4x/32x Re-Writable, SMC 10/100 NIC, 300W PSU, Klipsch ProMedia 4.1, Windows 98SE
  24. I have a question about monitors that has always plagued me. Whent the dot pitch gets higher, is that better? Like is a .27 dpi monitor better than the same exact monitor at .24 dpi? *zen ------------------ soon-to-have system for oc'ing: Duron 700 MHz Alpha PAL6035 with Delta Black label fan Abit KT7 mobo Crucial 128MB PC133 some old 5GB 5400RPM drive Diamond Monster Fusion 16MB Voodoo Banshee Creative SB Live! 5.1 X-Gamer Creative 36x CDROM Sony Spressa 8x/4x/32x Re-Writable SMC 10/100 NIC 300W PSU Windows 98SE
