Always heard good things about wyred 4 sound.......just wish they didn't look like the case was a kit case.
I know what's inside is important......Just me I guess.

My buddy runs a PrimaLuna integrated I think it's a Dialogue Premium......I got to say.......listening to Nora Jones.....Eva Cassidy sounds amazing.......low volume detail is acceptional...He also runs Chorus II with the Crites update kit. I think he runs a Vincent 701 phono preamp.

You are starting with 2 pretty good choices.....Not sure what I would pick next.....maybe Musical Fideliity.....The Parasound integrated is also an option.........Love my Chorus IIs also

Bob and his guys do great work......I have bought a few full crossovers from him....Chorus IIs....Forte's.
I also have bought many rebuild kits and diaphragms for rebuilds I have done for others.....great product great service
Sure makes the whole process easier.
(Mediocre parts)......don't think so.....

The specs on the benchmark AHB2 are crazy good but the parasound A21 is no slouch by any means. Not worth the expense to upgrade imho. I think I will stick with my kit for awhile which was good advice. I haven’t upgraded in awhile so I got the itch and got ahead of myself. I have to wait a bit for the speakers but will post back towards the end of the year with my impressions
You are correct.....A21 is running 25% off list.....which is a good bargain.....good call

Why not just go with the Benchmark amp...I realize it's only 100x2....but it's clean.
The combination of the 2 is some thing to be reckoned with.

Been running Chorus IIs/Forte IIs/Quartets/Acadamy with A Sunfire TGA 7201 in my theater for about 3 years.

I owned some very nice Definitive Technology speakers similar in design to the Triton. When I went back to horns, I didn’t miss the bass - I was just greatful to have my midrange back.
Never thought of it that way.....good point.....

+1 to what YK says.....They are totally different.
My best friend runs a PrimaLuna .....we went and auditioned the Triton 1's....they sounded great....just they had a very narrow sweet spot because they are so tall they sounded better if you were standing.....Just want to end saying......move what you got around a bit .

MrWongburger,
Be patient......they will come up.....$700.00 to $1500.00 is usually the range.
Try moving the Forte's around for now......you never know they may surprise you.
The key is to buy the right pair and make them your own.

Welcome to the forum
I suggest going the vintage amp road. You can find a nice Yamaha CR-620 for about $150 ... or a better CR-1020 for about $350. Or look for a Kenwood ... usually "underpriced" but with pretty good sound. I prefer Marantz, but they have been getting more and more expensive ... Check your local CraigsList and OfferUp so you can hear the amp before handing over your money.
Good luck with the search
+ 1 to what he says....I definitely like the vintage idea.

In his defense, he did open it up to offers. If one were to offer him his auction price minus all the associated fees ... people cancel their auctions all the time.
+1 to this.....an offer is an offer. They are SWEET

I was just thinking.....Maybe if we pay no attention to him...he will leave

China owns the USA, and will not allow the USA to fail as they would lose BILLIONS. The USA has way too much debt to China to play hard ball with them, and needs to back off IMO.
Not even close......Their economy is not even 1/3 the value of ours. I have worked with the Chinese for years.....They think the USA is a joke....basically because we gave them all of our jobs....Treat China with respect....Yes......but don't give them anything...They Don't own us.

Ditto!
I'm kinda likin Stevie, Todd, Prine and Roxy Music... Most haven't heard of Roxy Music but a lot of great musicians played with them... Couldn't believe Rundgren isn't there already. John Prine? Ya either like him or you don't. He always just does his thang... Stevie? Good but... Just my thoughts!
+1 to that.

Top 3
Pioneer Elite....Why...Ice amps stay power consistent all channels driver
Anthem..........Why ...ARC
Integra......Because I prefer it to Denon/Marantz
George

I'd have to say +1 to the Pioneer Elite...... It would be at the top of my list.
A buddy has one ....pretty sure it's one with the new ice amps....
Like it a lot
George

I'd say all three....
Forte I/II and Chorus II...are really finicky due to placement.....
KLF-20/30 are straight forward in your face speakers.....
Another consideration KG 5.5 ( wish I never sold mine)
Redoing cabinet glue/reinforcement on KLF/KG series is a must

I wouldn't expect anything less.....from a guy who has a 5.1 system in his Master bedroom...."Just saying"

To start off.....why not play around with your Audyssey settings....Most just calibrate and just leave it......play around with it and get the most out of it. Spend some time ...learn how to use it. Then ....if you are still not happy .......Spend the money
I've been an audio guy since I was 5...Its not about the watts...it's about the setup...power is always nice....but it's not always the answer.

Very little difference, if any, unless your play your movies very, very loudly, get a separate power amp with at least double the power in watts (3 dB), and stop using the subwoofers (which have their own power). None of the above? Stick with the Marantz, a good unit, especially since your speakers are efficient.
+1 to that....the money is best spent else where.
