If you havent noticed i'm here every day, almost all day. When I am at home. Suprised you guys havent gotten tired of me. I am Happy with my Pro Medias. I believe Klipsch did a Great job. Those Pro Medias, were my step into the world of Home Audio, and Klipsch. It was when I got those, when I discoverd just how good those old speakers in the back corner of the living room were. Since then, I took my grandfathers Amp, and Heresys, and moved them over to the televisioin As soon as I get money I will be buying a car. Then Buying a Car Audio system.. Then, when I am out of the house, ITS KLIPSCH HT TIME! I'll probobly buy a good Stereo Amp as I said, with A and B switches. And I will probobly look for a pair of Heresys, or La Scalas. Yes, I know Its an apartment, And I wont be able to blast it.. often.... but... Hey.... when I wanna move out, and my lease says I cant,... my speakers say I can Thats only about... 3,000$ instead of the 15,000$. (actualy, I think that 15,000 is way off) K-Horns = Aprox. 5,500$ La Scala = Aprox. 3,000$ Heresy II = Aprox. 1,000$ KSW-15 = Aprox. 800$ First post : 4 K-Horns = 22,000$ 2 La Scalas = 6,000$ 4 KSW-15 = 2,400$ Sony Projector = 13,000$ Not including the AMp, the DVD player it would cost aprox: 43,400$ Thats why I believe your 15,000 price tag is a bit off. I relize thats alot of money, I think I may be happier with a 5.1 Reference Setup, Bi Amped.. 4 RF-7's, 2 Front, 2 rear. 1 RC-7, Front Center. 2 KSW-15. Well, I'll probobly end up getting stuff from my friends at school or going to Car Toyz and listening to stuff. Last year, one of my friends had a 800 watt Amp on sale for 180$. My friends car has probobly a 1000+ audio system (not inlcuding the 500+ on subs). Kenwood Deck (prety nice), Blue Tornado (Sony, or Kenwood, cant remember) speakers in front and back. Kenwood Tweeters (2) in the front. 2 12 inch Woofers (cant remember the wattage), And he had 3 amps runnning it. 1 for each woofer, and 1 for the inside speakers, + his deck. His system HIT. He would turn on the Bass thing, where it like multiplys the BASS by 10... damn it hit. He was going to sell me his car ( 94 Sentra ) with out the subs for 3000$ next year (when school starts again) I would like to get 2, Twelves for the trunk. Who makes good Subwoofers for a good price? I cant spend 4000$ on my car system, MABY I can spend 1000$. What I need: 2 Speakers in front. 2 Speakers in back. 2 Twelves in trunk. Deck w/CD player. AMp for Subs Amp for Front or Rear speakrs (or both) I would be willing to spend, 250$ on 2 pairs of speakers. About 80 on a sub. About 200-300 on the deck. 100-150 on the Amps. Thats, about 1000$ right now. So any suggestions for speakers in that price range? ** Right now my car audio system is more important than my Home system. Thats not realy even me going crazy........ My crazy dreams are like this, have a Good Stereo Amp, with A and B switches. I dont want or need a 5.1 or 8.1 setup.. KPT-Jubilees built into the Walls in the Front on A switch. KPT-Jubilees built into the Walls in the Back on B switch. 2 KPT-684's in the Front. 2 in the Back. But being a person that looks at, what likely... and being one that loves to listen to music and a BIG fan of BASS! My dream system would consist of: 2 good Stereo Amplifier with A and B switches. On one of the Recievers: 2 K-Horns on A, in the front. 2 La Scalas on B, 1 in the center of the left wall, one in the center of the right wall. My first Experiance with Klipsch was with my Grandfathers Heresys (I). I lay awake at night, I day dream about owning a large Klipsch HT setup... My Girl Friend use to get annoyed with me, because I was always talking about speakers...... I dream of owning 4 K-Horns, 1 for each corner. Front and Rear Channels + 4 Heresys, Mounted on the walls between the K-Horns. A Klipsch La Scala for Front Center. A Klipsch La Scala for Rear Center. McIntosh 7106 6channel Amplifier. 4 15 inch Klipsch Subwoofers 2 located behind the couch, 2 in the front next to the La Scala Center. Throw in 1 of these for the "TV". A Denon 3300 DVD player . In the "quiet room". I want RB-5's for "quiet" listening. And Out back... 4 - 6 Klipsch SA-3's for out door partying. Why to any of that. When you could set up a 6.1 setup with a pair of these for Front, For rear,and for centers. These Puppies Have everything Bi Amped. Deffeniatly, wait for the 5.1's Not just because you will be getting a Center Channel, but because you get a larger more powerful Sub, that will most likely sound better, because it will be made with better bigger woofers. And Most importantly, because ALL SPEAKER WIRE!! Or would a GOOD 2 Channel set up make you happy? 2 Heresy II's and a good Amp. That will cost you about 1000$ also. But you will have a REALY good setup. And later on add on the other speakers. The 303 series will give you a better sound, than the Quintets, Most deffeniatly. Not real sure about the Synergy, been awhile since I listend to them both. What will you be using it for mostly? Music or Movies? BigRob is correct. The Pro's arnt a TRUE HT system. Although they do have all the components. Assuming your going to buy everything new and its at the MSRP. Pro Media's will cost you about 500$ Quintets will cost you about 900$ Synergy System 6 will cost you about 1000$ If you are buying everything at the MSRP the Quintets shouldnt be a question if you are going to go that high, the Synergy system will give you alot better preformance for 100$ more. If 1000$ is to much for your blood the 5.1 Pro Medias are a good choice still. It is a powerful 5.1 system, that can go loud. But I got another realy good solution for you. I'm sure it wouldnt be much at all, and it wouldnt be a big hassle, to run down to your local Best buy or Circut city, and pick up a Bose setup. The Pro Media 5.1 would defeniatly be a good choice. I personaly have the 4.1, but when they come out and I get 100 bucks, I will be upgrading . DO not get the sony thing......... *pukes* For the 5.1 you will need adapters to hook it up into your DVD player. If your just using a DVD player. Get some 1/8th to RCA adapters and hook the Pro's straight up to your DVD player. Some of us are bass freaks though if I could find a Powerd subwoofer onsale for 50 bucks, and it hit hard, (8 or 10 inch maby) I'd buy it. And I cant even get the thing above half way with out hurting my ears.
