  1. Wow !!!!! That will really put a smile on someones face. Best of luck.
  2. Congrats to the buyer. My wife loved it when I had one.
  3. This is the one I keep going back to. But haven't pulled the trigger yet. http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/
  4. I have a friend that just recently had his room wired for front HT but did not wire for the rear channels. This was a huge mistake he now knows. He asked me about the option of wireless amps to use his exsting RS 52's. I didn't know this was out there. Has anyone here done this? The two options are Anphony and JBL. Just thought I would post this for him to see if there are people on the forum that have tried it. NOT sure it this should be in the HT section but the item in question is not a klipsch product.
  5. Billybob thanks for the bump. I thought we would have at least some feedback by now. But we shall wait and see.
  6. Wuzz that sho is nice. My wife got a xsport this year. I have been looking at different companies for the intake and a ecu tune. What options are you looking at? I think from what I have read. The these engines are the same even the way they sit in the engine bay. The ecoboost in the F150 is just a little different.
  7. This amp was sold to a forum member when it arrived there was noise in one of the channels(channel 1). Refund was issued and all is good. Over the Christmas holiday I got a chance to have it looked at. I am going to attach the repair ticket like I did with the NAD. FYI there was no repair done on the NAD I just wanted to make sure it was A+. This amp on Channel 1 had the Power supply and the RCA in wire to close together this was causing induction and that resulted in noise. Also while under the scope the main ground was loose about a quarter turn this was tighten and secured. The 4430 benched 200 plus per channel the dummy load hooked up to it was really screaming. If you are looking for a power house amp to drive almost anything under the sun. This is your ticket. I will be happy to answer any questions. It was repaired at Durham's electronics in Little Rock Ar for an forum members that need that type of service.
  8. Here is a copy of the ticket for anyone interested. Thank Schu
  9. I just picked this amp up from the shop to have checked out on a scope from top to bottom to ensure perfect operation. Amp tested above factory specs of 125x5 all channels driven.
  10. Has anyone used any of this stuff? I would like to know. My dad has been using a tape to cd sony recorder over the last few years. That unit has died so now I have to choose to look for something like this again or to do what I would like to do transfer all of his tapes to MP3's then rip to Cd's. I have som much to do repay him for the life he has provided me. But that is a another story. Also my mother in law has a large album collection I know she would love to have on Cd mp3 for use with her current system or ipad. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this before? As always thank you for any and all feedback
  11. Congrats on the purchase. This was one of those things my wife let me buy and said get whatever you want. So I went with the blendtec for a few reasons. One the main reason is just power they don't have the idea you need sharp blades that will become dull over time. Their passion is speed and raw power. That was cool with me because unless you are you making your blades out of some kind of carbide they will become dull. So that was a good idea to me. Vitamix copied a Jar so close to the Blendtec design they lost a suit, blendtec sent a Jar to all their customers until it reached the amount of their winnings in the lawsuit. Yes I got a free one.The blendtec is not for the faint of heart it's loud!!!!!!!! Very scary if you every use the soup function. I did turn some regular sugar into powder sugar and won a bet. The steaming water is pretty neat. But needless to say Yes I could have bought a cheaper blender and did the exact same thing to a degree but most of us could have bought cheaper everything.......LOL what's the fun in that you can't take it with you.
  12. Just broke the PS3 down to nothing but parts and cleaned everything. It should at least now cool better. But still would like to hear what everyone has to say. This choice will still be made in a few months.
  13. Members on the forum I need some help with this one. I am going to have to make a move in the video department. How do people watch their video content? This question is more to people that have taken dvd's they own and copied them to a Game console or PC or however you do it to make it more convienent to watch them whenever you want. PS3 this is my mainstay right now in my HT system. And has performed great. Up till now I haven't really had any problems with the unit. But there are hardware limitations with a unit this old so I am looking to purchase a new device in the coming months. PS4 from what I have read this unit will not play CD's how is that? That just doesn't seem fair. You can change the HDD in the PS 4 but you can not use the USB's on the unit other than for software updates or Sony accessories. So this option is kinda out, and was my favorite until I did some reading. One thing I have looked at is the Wester digital TV media device. This unit will only play video files or audio files no phyiscal disc. So this might be an option to purchase a stand alone blue ray player and then use this for the media files. A friend of mine uses a Mac mini and thunderbolt drive to view all his media content. This is a neat option but could be a very expensive one. But an option none the less. One things I might add I live in the Data hole of the earth. I do not have access to DSL or any type of true high speed where network devices will be used. I use a Verizon data plan for my home wifi. NAS are not an option for me right now. So please I know this will help a lot of members that might be in the situation.
  14. Bought a Blendtec a couple years ago. 700 cycles without an issue. I love it. Crazy strong!!!!!
  15. I know and am humbled by the knowledge here this forum has to offer. So once again I would like to ask a question before I make the plunge. My choice to buy the Marantz AV 7005 and use Anthem amps they both have the option to use RCA unbalanced or XLR balanced connections. What have members noticed when making the switch from one to the other. I am going to use Blue Jean for all my XLR cables when I do push forward with this project. I thing i have read about the Anthem Prepros they state you will get a 6 db increase in gain using the XLR, I haven't read there is a difference in signal output with the AV7005. Thanks to all who contribute. Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year.
  16. What a nice piece...Bump for a classic
  17. Guys I just ran down the list Ebay, Craigslist open search, audiogon, and us audio mart. No A2 out there right now.
  18. My opinion every amp or source has a characteristic that is associated with it. Some people make choices on a company's history or the goal to strive for innovation. Or just the price it doesn't matter whatever criteria you use to make you buy something. I like anthem products not to say there is anything wrong with what others are using but that is just my preference. I do feel there is a sound their amps have that is what I am looking for. I also like the look of the amps, very simple. This is just one of those topics we can talk about on some things agree to disagree but as long as we learn something it's a great thread. Best of luck finding your A2!!!!!!
  19. Sorry guys I will keep on the look out for A2.
  20. thanks scrap. The fact they have educational video that should offer some good information on making a decision.
  21. This will be open I would really like to hear what everyone's opinion about this subject. 1. Are room treatments only needed for dedicated HT rooms? or can every room benefit(with an audio setup)? 2. How do you apply or how do you know where to apply treatments? 3. What tools do you use to find where to put the treatments? 4. What brand should you use? 5. Are there brand out there that will play well with decorations? These are just a couple questions I could think of,I am sure there are members that would be happy to share their experiences good and bad. Sometime you learn the most from the bad. Thanks in advance guys! Happy Holidays
  22. Philly great preamp. I am using one right now with my Mac. Good luck with the sale.
