  1. Here's after I got her all sewed back up.
  2. Here's one of the back of the tweeter.
  3. I decided to take a couple pics of the guts since I had her open.
  4. In this pic you can really see the difference in the size of the magnets.
  5. I was quite surprised my how beefy this little 6.5" woofer was. I got out one of the woofers that came out of my RC-64II to compare and the THX woofer makes the 64 woofer look puny. It also felt almost twice as heavy as the 64 woofer. Hopefully that is a good sign. Here are a few pics of them side by side.
  6. So I ordered my second KL-650 last week with a damaged woofer for a great price and ordered the replacement woofer the same day and they both came in today. Here is the speaker the way it came with the damaged woofer.
  7. This is a great deal for this combo. http://www.avsforum.com/t/1471328/emotiva-xpa-5-w-harmony-1100-remote
  8. Rented this from Redbox, possible the worst $1.50 I've ever spent.
  9. More importantly, who can say "What makes a Klipsch a Klipsch" 5 times really fast without flubbering it up?
  10. You do realize that there are only 17 woofers across your front wall, that will almost certainly not be enough. [] Looks very impressive, congrats on the finished theater.
  11. The two things that destroy speakers: Distortion and Barbara Streisand!
  12. I'd still take that speaker over BOSE any day.
  13. $650 shipped or $600 local/cash. Last price drop before ebay.
  14. You are absolutely right, I have witnessed the world's only RT-15D. It's funny because I couldn't decide whether to make the drive to buy the RT-12D or not and then he told me about the RT-15D which was worth the 2 hour drive alone. This thing dwarfed the RT-12D it was so big! If I remember right he said that when they were planning and designing the sub the wattage was 1200 RMS / 2600 MAX and it would have retailed at $2,800. Supposedly he had turned down offers of $4000, said he would keep it forever, can't say that I blame him.
  15. The XF-48 system truly is a great system. I think people were afraid to try them either because they are active speakers or because they do not look like any of the traditional Klipsch speakers. I have always loved the Icon line for home theater but for music especially. My wife also loves the way they look vs the big boxy look of most speakers. I have to agree that they could have made a better center but I just raise the level on the center and all is good. I originally bought three of the XL-23s, for center and surrounds and sent the other two back and upgraded to the 48s for surround and boy was I glad I did. Thanks for the nice comments and good luck finding a projector.
  16. BUMP...Somebody please buy these before I decide to keep them!!
  17. I personally like the way the UPA and XPA series look better than the XPR series. Not to mention they should make you sign a waiver before buying the XPRs that you will not sue for hernias or broken shelves due to the weight.
  18. +1 on the 8350. I wouldn't have upgrade mine if it wasn't for the lack of 3D. They have an excellent picture and it is plenty bright enough for daytime watching but if you can block the light or when you watch at night you are in for a real treat. Plus Epson has the best warranties and customer service in the projector business hands down.
  19. It is going back and I am searching for it's replacement. I am looking at a Pioneer BDP-150 but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
  20. I definitely won't need to go with that much power, plus I am too cheap to ever own them!
  21. It's okay Bruce, I can forgive you this time. []
  22. +1 for Monoprice. I am running monoprice cables all around and they are very high quality cables for the money. I have seen blind tests that prove there is no measurable difference between averaged price cables and the extremely expensive ones. Use that money toward something that will give you a noticeable difference on either your picture or your sound.
  23. It is definitely a great service they provide.
  24. No that's not it but I have been talking to them for weeks. The posting says in like new condition but they are all scratched to hell and back on the sides and bottom. My plans are to buy them if they are still there in about a week when I have the money. I just need to find someone to go listen to them for me and all is good drop them off at a shipper.
