  1. What about HK? I found the Onkyo to sound a little "DRY" on the rf3's. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks

Anyone heard SDDS? Anyone know when it will be in our homes?? Is it any good, or is sony trying to keep up with DTS and DD? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  4. Yeah the tube guys can get crazy sometimes! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  5. I find the quality of my RF3's very good. I don't see how the magnets would fall off. The wire is nothing special, but what speakers are for 1400CDN a pair? The only thing I have noticed, is one of the screws on the horn is not all the way in. I will fix it later. The only thing that bothers me is the price. Not really Klipsch's fault. I live 500 miles away from any other dealer. I paied $1390.98 for my rf3's. (thats all after tax) I still think there a great deal. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks

So are you saying mabey I should save for the low end elite? ($1500 CDN) Has anyone looked at the new pioneer? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks

    Pioneer

Well, I have been looking for a good reciever, with pre-outs for a while. I couldn't decide on one, and can not afford the Denon 2802. The 1802 is allright, buy only has pre-outs for the front. The new Onkyo would be allright, but the cheeper ones have NO pre outs. Now Pioneer has a nice reciever for a price I can live with. I think the Pioneer VSX-D811S looks VERY nice. A great reciever for a little money. ($800CDN) It has pre outs for 7.1, and DPL2, as well as the new DTS and Dolby digital ES EX stuff. I know it's not high end, but 2 days a week at Dairyqueen won't pay for a Denon 5803. Any opinions in the new Pioneer? THANKS! PS> My speakers are klipsch RF3's. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks This message has been edited by matthew2 on 04-25-2002 at 08:25 PM
  8. On the RF3, it has a 6 inch horn. But on myn, it say's 8. And I took out a ruler and it was 8! Did I measure wrong? The horn doesn't look diffrent. ANYONE? Thanks ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  9. Mabey its a setting on your DVD player. "night mode," I know my sony has it. I think they all do. Dynamic range control and crap..uhh stuff like that. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  10. I find the RF3 have LOTS of low end. Lots of punch, and still rumbles the house. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  11. Your AVR520 should havve pre-outs..So I would use them for your promedia. However, they might not keep up with your RF3's and RC3. You can try though! I would just stick with 2ch or Dolby 3 for now.. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  12. I would say the RF3's are better. Way more detail, bass, and cleaner. Ive comapired the RFII's with some cheeper modeles, and the RF3's always win. GREAT speakers!! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  13. If it wear not for the price of the RF3, you could easily justify the price of the RF5. RF3's rock. Under-rated! If you don't care to much about things like your speakers match the table 5 feet away, get the RF3's. Then you could use the left over money for center, or sub, or whatever. Dont know much about HK, soory. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  14. How did you hook the sub up? What did you power them with? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  15. RF3II's kick the sh*t out of synergy. But for HT, and normal volumes, SF1's should be fine! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  16. I Hate *uance... To think I was sucked in once makes me cry!!!!!! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks This message has been edited by matthew2 on 04-06-2002 at 08:24 PM
  17. I wouldn't buy anything audio if it had spring clips. It just looks to cheep. However, what are the reasons for big binding posts ect.. I don't see how it would make a diffrence if the speakers are only a few feet away! What are the diffrent kinds of connections on amps, reciever, speakers, ect? Which are the best? Thanks for any replies. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  18. Mabey you should try puttin the sub in a corner? I like you set up! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  19. Justin-It was "The Rock," with Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage, and Ed Harris. One of my fav' movies. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  20. KSW15 would have to much bass. It has to much bass for RB3's! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  21. I do not think there is anything wrong with the new Klipsch. I LOVE IT! Today, I listoned to and ordered a new pair of RF3II's! Pretty damn good for a high school student! $1400 is a lot for me. I think Klipsch makes the best speakers for the money. Even if I had $10 000, I would probibly stick with klipsch! ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks This message has been edited by matthew2 on 04-04-2002 at 09:34 PM
  22. Are these speakers any good? On the site, they seem pretty good, (can't know for sure of course) and on HTF many are saying they are great. Are they great? Can they play loud and clean like Klipsch for rock, rap, or ANYTHING? Or are they just laid back and detailed like so many other speakers? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  23. Did anyone notice that the soundtrack on these two movies sounded very much the same? Was it done by the same guy? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  24. I'm planning to start a HT setup soon. I'm looking at recievers in the price range of the AVR 120 and 220. ($700-$900 CDN) I am sure that it will have enough to power RF3's, but I like music loud. Will the 40 rated watts do it? Is it worth it to move up o the avr220? Is it bad when the 2ch power rating is 10Watts more per channel then with all ch.driven? ----- What else would anyone recomend in the same class from Denon? Pioneer?(not sure about that one) or Onkyo? Thanks for any info ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  25. I think the reason why some say the Klipsch Refrence has little bass, is because the bass is so good. Very tight and accurate. Not boomy and slow, like many speakers Klipsch consumers upgrade from. (me, hehe) No speaker anyone can afford that still sounds good, will have enough bass for newer music. (at least for young people) ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
