    I've never had any other Mac tube gear, but I have a Dared Integrated, and as expected, it does not compare whatsoever to the 275. I saved for a long time for the Mac gear, then the second one came available at a good time and I couldn't be happier.

    Photos at a couple different setup configurations. The first one is the latest after acquiring another 275. I only have one set of RF-7II's, I just swap speaker cables for either the HT or turntable. Its not ideal, but works well for now.

    Why is the LaScala markup even bigger than the KHorn one?? I'm still just blown away by this $14k price tag. Good Lord... There are still 70th KHorns unsold on the site, wouldn't that indicate that the price is set a little high? Only 70 sets and not sold out... Damn, this price is such a disappointment. Heresy's were marked up the least and they sold out almost immediately...

    Man.......... $14k??? Almost double the LaScala II price???? I was so excited for this release, and Klipsch comes with that price? Disappointed to say the least. They are gorgeous, nonetheless. But $7000 a piece?? No way

    I really like the idea of a center channel as well. I have a pair of 70th anniversary Heresy's, and it would be outstanding to have a center to match with these. Really just a matter of finding the materials, especially the grill cloth. I'll have to look into it. What would a 'heritage-style' center channel look like? hmmmm

    A while back, I acquired (free) a RF-7II speaker that had significant cabinet/veneer damage. Its just been sitting around since then and I'm wondering what I could do with it. Aside from saving the parts for potential repairs to my RF-7II's in use already, that is. I've had Klipsch gear for 15+ years now and I've never had any mechanical/technical issues, so it seems like it would be a better idea to use the internals for something else. Any good ideas out there? I thought about trying to make a center channel. Or trying to use the parts to restore a pair of Sansui SP-1000's that have been sitting idle for 20 years at my parents' place. I'd be open to just about anything... Thanks for any and all suggestions!

    Awesome. These Khorns look outstanding!! I absolutely love the 70th look that Klipsch went with. If this were 7 years from now and my military service time was over, I'd have put the money up to match these with the 70th Heresy's, but I still have several more moves across the country (maybe across the globe) and I just can't justify another speaker purchase. I will hope to find some of these years from now on the secondary market. Enjoy 'em, Capt!

    Good luck with that, Billy! I have the internals for one, and a damaged walnut RF-7ii exterior/housing if you're interested in that. Still not sure what to do with it, honestly. Someone with some skills in a woodshop could easily fix the housing.

    I've had my pair for a few days now and they are unbelievably good-looking!! The pink traces in the veneer doesn't show too well in pictures, which is a shame. I would drool over some La Scala II's in this style!! I'll try to get some good pics up, but the ones above pretty much sum up the look. Very satisfied with this purchase!!

    Well, my order from Klipsch.com went through, but was canceled two days later due to the warehouse being out of stock... Luckily, an immediate search online landed me a pair from Hifi Heaven, which had them on the way from Klipsch already!! In my opinion, the $3200 price tag is relatively cheap for such a limited run, and I was happy to pay it. I don't exactly have anywhere to put these yet, but that won't be a problem for long.

    These Heresy III's were purchased a year and a half ago and have only been used sparingly. They sound outstanding, but since I bought my RF-7II's, I just don't use them much anymore. I've hung on to them for awhile thinking I might use them later, but its become clear that someone else can benefit from these excellent speakers! If you would like additional, detailed pictures, please ask!! I do not have the boxes, and the risers are not original. I purchased the risers from a guy in Arkansas that specializes in Klipsch-related things like that. They are not a perfect color match, but if you didn't point it out, it would hardly be noticeable. There are zero cosmetic or operational defects. Like I said, I will gladly provide more pictures if requested. If you are near the Charleston, SC area and would like to audition them, I'd be more than happy to hook them up. I have no intention on turning a profit here, just simply looking to get these speakers in the hands of someone who will appreciate them! Asking $1300 for the PAIR/OBO Thanks for looking!

    If I were to use the components for a new speaker, it would definitely be a center. That was one of my original thoughts. I'll definitely look into it. As far as what I'd want for the components, I have no idea at the moment. Like you said, I first need to see if everything works.

    Seems like the best thread to ask about this.... I bought some RF-5's in 2002, kept the original packaging/boxes, and have moved 10-12 times since then, and probably put these speakers in the boxes and taken them out easily 20+ times (I'm in the military). The original packaging is great, the foam inserts are sealed in plastic and has stayed perfect for almost 15 years. In the past year, I bought some RF-7II's, and every single foam insert in the boxes broke apart as the speakers were taken out of the box the very first time. The foam wasn't sealed in plastic like the 5's, and there's almost no chance that the inserts will be able to be used when I have to pack these back up. What gives??? Has anyone else had issues with the internal inserts to the packaging??

    When I bought my Walnut RF-7II's, the dealer threw in a third one (long story). They told me it was damaged, but that I was free to use it as a parts speaker as they wouldn't be able to sell it as is, anyway. When it arrived, along with the other two, I found a speaker that had clearly been dropped at least twice on the top, as three of the four top corners were completely messed up. There were other cosmetic issues with the veneer, but to my surprise, the woofers and horn showed zero signs of damage. Inside the speaker, there is definitely something loose, but I haven't opened it up yet to see which component is unsecured. My question to the forum is: what would you do with it? I've never modified speakers at all, and I've never built my own boxes or anything like that. I've thought of taking it apart and selling the individual components, because I'm not sure how likely it is that I'll need replacement parts for the other two. Anyway, curious to hear some ideas...

    I think that is the most common complaint I've heard about the Walnut RF 7II's, that the veneers don't match. Mine definitely are close, but still not matching. To be honest though, that's what I like about them. I also like how different the orange woofers look against the Walnut veneer (another complaint I've heard), so I guess to each his own. Thanks for the compliment, its been a long time coming putting this together.

    Billy, my impression is that I can't get enough!! The Clearaudio has been going non-stop since I got everything set up! Thanks again. Hope you find someone for your Belle/RF-7II deal, damn good trade. I wish I had a need for those Cornwalls!! Here's some photos of the new setup with the added 275.
