Me and the better half will be arriving in Texarkana about 6 pm Wednesday the 24th and will wander over to Hope later in the evening.

I declare @Turbox is the official Wildman Where is the 1802 now?

Hi All,
Anybody got a pair of Dave Harris's (GotHover) 1 to 2 inch adapters that you want to be rid of?
He used to make these so people could use their K55 or other 1" driver with his Eliptrac horn. I need one that dis assemble able which is how he normally made them I believe . He want "on the cheap" on the one he made for me and it is glued together.
Let me know.

Rubber baby buggy bumpers But seriously baron167's suggestion is it. Most of them have the rubber bumpers on the back. If you're going to rent make sure they're intact/in good shape. It is still a two man operation if you ask me.

Like I said when this Gentleman got his 1802 between the Jubes a few years back....I want to go to Toronto for some reason

So the Jubes are now what? The garage system?

So I 've got a free amp coming.....SWEET.

OK so i think that would work but not optimally. Doesn't the 510 horn need some EQ?
And regarding the Harrison Attenuators I think as strong as your pre is you could easily go with 12dB.These things have been discussed before and never have I been able to determine what input impedance they are designed for. And yes that is important.

Something like this would allow you to use more of the volume control on the pre amp and cut the signal down going into the miniDSP. Its cheezy but hey its cheap.

If a manual becomes available we'll know for sure.
The manual is available at HiFi Engine from the link in Emile's first post. That's how I knew it has +/- 37 volt rails.

Sounds like that miniDSP is a piece of crap - but it is set at 2V.
I'm not saying that. But they give no other input spec? Like headroom above 2 volts? How do you know you are clipping its input?

Something is very wrong. I don't see how a pre-amp can use all those semiconductors. I think the spec for the M-3030 crept in. A 20 volt output from a power amp is not unreasonable.

Why not? The Japanese do (or did) things like this all the time. Not trying to pick a fight or challenge your expertise.
The original saying "parts is parts" came from Japan

You're Donmark from Denmark? I like it

By the way type D and Type E, aren’t they the same just with the positive and negative inverted at the k55?
Looks like it would depend on what the numbered terminals in the "D" were labeled. I mean which is + and which is -

Why did you not hear it while demo'ing? Noiser ambient environment? Or just excited about possibly scoring Heresy's

Is the input impedance/resistance spec'd so we can build Emile an attenuator?

That Pre amp has + and - 37 volt rails so it can put out the 20 Vrms that is spec'd. That is a LOT of output signal capability like +28 dBu. If you want to use more of the volume control you will have to attenuate that pre amp output signal. Yes it is true most power amps will drive rated output with only 1 or 2 volts input. That is with the gain controls fully clockwise. If there are no gain controls it is expected that the source/pre amp does all the volume adjusting. If you intend to drive a miniDSP with 2 volt max input with that Pre amp it is going to be tricky. I have no hands on experience with miniDSP units, but 2V max input?
Perhaps someone with experience with miniDSP will jump in.

Haha ... 900 wpc into 8 ohms ... just do NOT like the connectors up front Plus can easily get over 1000 wpc with bridged Crown amps
Yea but the power from a Boulder will be real true RMS continuous power, not make believe peak program music watts. And you WILL pay for it.

Awesome suggestions ... Thanks
Add-on ... Have a Crown K1 ... used RCA's and had some noise ... switched to "pseudo" balanced; RCA from pre-amp to XLR's into the Crown and the noise was gone Can't explain it, but it helped
It CAN be explained. It involves science and electrical engineering

I'm not entirely sure you can order 510 horns. @babadono tried not too long ago.
Yes I did with no luck on my own. They asked for S/N of my 2 way Jubes and would not sell me the 510 the make it a 3 way. Perhaps if one orders the whole assembly that would be OK? But I have several pairs of drivers already and do not want to pay for another set that may or may not end up being used. Luckily I had a french(dutch) connection and was able to procure a pair.

I tried to cut back to 4 days a week this year Told my boss that he could cut my pay and vacation days by 20%. I even made a spread sheet showing him how much money the store would save by the cuts in expenses. He wouldn't go for it.
Did he say something like "this is Texas boy, take them communist ideas someplace else"

1337 days to go. Yes, I have it on my calendar and look at it every day.
Just curious, is this calendar days or work days? I mean are you including weekends?

Do they make 8 ga PCB's? If so, I'm cool with it.
When wires are unrolled and flattened out to put on PCB they take on other magical qualities. Ohm's law is a thing of the past, totally passe.
Out with the old, and in with the new.

I get that it is not going out of the casa but with those 3 new cabinets across the front it had to go somewhere. So where are you now placing it?
