I picked this up this spring and ran it for a short time. But I'm going with the Fisher 500c and my nakamichi gear for solid state. So, I have a beautiful Piomeer SX-1250 I would rate it a 9.5 save for a couple minor scratches on the top of the faceplate. It recently had a new custom cabinet built which doesnt have a mark on it. Anyway, I've dropped the price to $900 plus shipping. This thing weighs about 70 pounds and I am planning on packing 3 1/2 inch kigh density foam around it and then double boxing it. The knuckleheads punched holes in the pasives on my Forte II, my understanding is reconing isnt available yet, so I need a pair (of passives) Im in Chicago. Anyone have 2 they need to get rid of? TY Mark

I 've decide to keep the 500c and have Craig do a complete rebuild on it. So if anyone is looking for a really beautiful SX-1250, mine will be going up in the next few days. I'm thinking of offering it at $800 plus shipping. Any thoughts on the price, or just put it on the Bay, where people have been paying crazy prices. TY Mark

I wish I only had 2 receivers to choose between. Nak, Denon, Sansui etc. I think I'm becoming the hoarder, so I've been told to thin it out. I have enough gear for 2 systems, so I am having a hard time selling the Fisher. I restored a 1919 Victorola cabinet that the Fisher fits in beautifully. I dropped a turntable in where the old speaker was and have the amps inside under the Fisher. I really like the way it looks. The 1250 has been restored by a gentleman out by DeKalb who does great work so I should get quite a few years out of it.

Everyone is telling me to hold on to these until I get my Khorns, the tubes will outshine the SX-1250 I am running right now. I have been instructed to thin the herd so this is my thinning. Anyone interested yet? Mark
