  1. Yeah, I'm heading off to LA and I'll probably be occupying a space 1/4 of the size for twice the price. Something about that makes my head hurt. It will likely be an apartment and the speakers wouldn't have room to breathe (not to mention, they would probably get me evicted at the levels I enjoy playing them) I'll probably pick up a pair of Heresy and a smaller sub.
  2. Sorry! For whatever reason, I haven't been getting email notifications that there had been replies to my post and I completely forgot about it. I'm located in Austin and I'll dig up some photos for you guys as well. If I hadn't mentioned previously, both the speakers and the receiver for 4k! This is just a feeler and I'm not ready to let go of them yet. It will likely be within the next month or so...closer to my move.
  3. Living in Texas for quite a while has afforded me a lot of square footage in which to keep my home theater, but I'm moving soon and I likely won't have the space to give this setup the room it deserves. I want to see if there's any interest in the whole set, before I start breaking them up individually. I've got a pair of cherry RF-63s, a cherry RC-64, a pair of RS- 62 II, and a pair of Epik Legend subwoofers (each with dual opposed 12" woofers) All powered by a Pioneer Elite SC-67 receiver, which will also be up for sale. I'm keeping my Screen Innovations Black Diamond Zero Edge, but my Epson 5020UB projector will probably be on it's way out as well. All speakers are flawless except for the RC-64, which has a small ding on one of the corners. I'm thinking $4,000 for the speakers/receiver and $1750 for the projector. Any interest?
  4. I'd love to take this off your hands, but I just had my receiver die on me and bought a new one. What horrible timing! If no one snatches this up, I may be revisiting this post soon Good luck with your sale!
  5. I've been on the lookout for some cherry 83s and that price is very right. I just emailed them. All goes well, I may have some cherry 63s up for sale!
  6. My RS-62s got delivered today and I must have been crazy to think I could hang these without a stud. They're massive! And the Omnimounts are pretty heavy as well.
  7. Really wish I could snag this. Bad timing, though. I'm setting on getting a projector into my house ASAP. This is a great deal!
  8. I've got a really high vaulted ceiling and I'll have to mount my RS-62's up in the corners of my living room. I've found the recommended Omnimount 30.0 WAB mounts to angle them down towards the seating area, but I'm wondering if finding a stud is absolutely necessary? 25 pounds doesn't seem like THAT much.
  9. How would this compare to something like an Emotiva XPA-5? Anyone had experience with both?
  10. I do have a 2nd output on my receiver, yes and I'm not terribly worried about the player being on at all times. It's got a 2 year warranty and that's good enough for me.
  11. I'm planning on getting a projector in the next few months and since I'm making a pretty substantial video upgrade, I might as well go all out. One thing that interests me about the Oppo is the HDMI inputs and the fact that you can run any video source through the Oppo's processing. This might be a silly question, but being that I've never owned a blu ray player with inputs, I'm curious. Could you in theory connect all of your HDMI inputs (including one out of the oppo) to the receiver and then connect the output to the Oppo's input so that everything takes advantage of the video processing? Oppo/Apple TV/PS3/Cable box -> receiver -> Oppo. Does that make sense? Am I crazy?
  12. After staring at these pictures for the last few weeks, I've decided to say "screw it" and just get the RS-62s instead of the 52s. I get a pretty decent discount through my work and the price difference isn't that significant.
  13. Pretty small room, not the greatest acoustics, but making due.
