I already know about the whole HP/TQ thing we SE-R guys have the argument on how its important with honda fans IE Type R 195HP 111lbs of TQ where our se-rs have a great TQ Curve for the size of there motors. 140HP 136TQ out of a turn with the LSD and TQ we can outmanuver alot of cars with simular hp. When you turbo an SE-R the HP AND TQ Curve are so flat you would swear it was a small block chevy when you look at the dyno charts. STOCK 1991 SE-Rs were as fast from the factory as some earlier Stang GTS running in at 15.3 or so in stock trim. My friends 1992 ran 15.2 w/intake and timing advanced. I knwo alot about early muscle cars and the whole TQ HP thing but thats not always true. Personally I ordered my SB3's from them. And my SC-1 they shipped the SB-3s perfect with the SC-1 i had a problem where they had a wrong address for my CC Card or some crap and they never answered there phones it always said all customer reps are busy leave a msg and we will call u asap no reply ever so i cancelled that order and wrote them a complaint. And stated YOUR NOT EVEN A KLIPSCH DEALER SO YOUR WARRANTY DOESNT COUNT. and they said Dear mr gregg we never claimed to be a Klipsh dealer or authorized but i can assure you we purchase all our stuff NEW from a Klipsch dealer and they should honer that. And if not we would handle it for you. I know what you mean bang for the buck you cant beat good ole american cars i just dont like there style or anything about them they are good in there ways i know. Also im not one for street racing like i said i race at the track and have tons of friends who do ITS SCCA and also autocross etc all the guys at www.se-r.net are mostly road racers. I have felt the low end of vettes and mustangs my friend has a 96 cobra revs to 7k and hauls *** for what it is. runs 13.4s with mild bolt ons but in my opinion just my opinion i like the feel of my buddys 96 supra much better. Once he hits boost at like 3500 the souund is amazing and he literally destroys the cobra and it has under 1000 dollars in mods too it. The cobra has alot more but is NA but then again its also a 4.6 vs a 3.0TT to each his own there 2 diff beasts i just like imports hehehe but i give respect to muscle cars and like them too just wouldnt own one i dont think. Just for shits and giggles ill show you guys a pic of my buddys racecar we have been working on for some time its a 1993 FWD Nissan Sentra SE-R with the infamous SR20DE 2.0 4 banger motor which is in NA trim in the USA but the rest of the world gets it boosted this is our 3rd season coming up and the car put down 650WHP last year on boost. This year we are search for 700 to 750HP with some nos and hopefully some Front wheel drive 8 sec passes to date it has run 9.83@145mph Stock crank and block are holding up fine still. This is the Worlds Fastest SE-R and FWD Nissan for that matter.. I see alot of people with PC's Next to there home theaters and also I have seen it in peoples signatures. HTPC etc what do you guys use these for in the home theater? Is it to use the DVD or for just playing on the computer on the big screen and nice stereo? While they do look almost identical ( promedias and Quintets the Q's look to have a beefier woofer and definatley a beefier base which can be used as a wall mount as well. Much beefier terminals too. I wouldnt suggest them for home theatre im sure you could figure it out but there mostly for Game systems or PC. Your best bet would be to buy the Quintet micro theatre from ebay or something like that if you dont have alot to spend on it.. I currently have a SONY STR-DE975 for the money and features its awesome. Ive had this for about a year now and plan on upgrading to either a Denon 1802, HK AVR320, or a Outlaw 1050.. I have heard tons of great things on the Outlaw and so far it seams reciever wise Denon is the favorite of Klipsch fans but also how do the HK recievers do with Klipsch's i like the AVR310,510 and newer 320. You have to compare apples to apples your comparing a four cylinder to an 8 and we tend to hold our own against 8s.. You have to think about it. Why does a 1988 Honda CRX or any civic from 88 have just as sophisticated suspnesion as a 2002 VETTE? full double wishbone multi link it took american cars over 10 years to get that style setup on a car that honda has had forever also if you want to compare V8s to V8s whats the new corvette HP? 340 5.7 V8 the infinity Q45 puts out 345HP out of 4.5 liters and the Nissan Maxima puts out 255HP out of 3.5 liters and both come in 6 speed trim You think a ford taurus chrysler seabring or whatever can hold its on to a jap or euro counter part? ala maxima, jetta VR6, etc.. muscle cars get fast for cheap and they do get fast but american cars vs jap cars as a whole dont compete in style realiability , resale value etc etc.. Almost any new V6 mid sized car from japan or euro will spank its american counterparts in handling and speed. V8s i cant totaaly account for because the V8 import market is still rather small but its getting there BMW's 5.0 liters motor is pushin 395HP and Infinitys Q45 is pushin 345out of 4.5 liters.. no flames im just telling the truth I know muscle cars are fast.. Im just an import guy. its like this sit in a 2002 vette and look at the dash the seats etc the layout then sit in a 96 Supra or NSX and see which car feels more sporty which controls are more oriented and which has better instumentation. In a supra 300z or RX7 the seats hug you tight you see a big center mounted tach in front of you the controls rap around you. Thats right supras will take 600HP and be reliable. As for the S2000 show me one american 4 cylinder that can make 240HP allmotor out of 2.0 liters? thats PURE F1 Technology on the street. Yes it doesnt have the low end but the top end power is insane. It will click off 13 Second ETS in stock trim and outhandle some of the best out there it has FRONT MID Engine and full double wishbone suspension even civics have better suspension desgines then most muscle cars. My buddys 9 second sentra has only used 1 motor for the last 2 seasons running over 600HP only problem is axles breaking occasionaly and he went through 1 head gasket. STOCK BLOCK with pisons and rods stock crank etc. these 4 cylinders can take power when you do a little work to them hell my buddys civic runs 11.9s with a STOCK INTERNALLY from oil pan to valve cover integra motor on boost lots of boost and wont last forever but he has 25k on it alreayd and its stock pistons and rods still. I dont have a 845 but i do have an STR-DE975 so I will try to help you based on how i would fix that problem on my 975 im sure there simular to reset turn off the reciever, then turn it on and hold the button in for 20 seconds or until it turns back off now its reset. Also i dunno about it on your 845 but on my 975 theres a dimmer switch to the left check that out if i set it to 0% it will come on if i use a button like volume or so then will turn off the display after 5 seconds of no activity your dimmer may just be dimmed to the off position. Ill let my story begin like this : I decided to upgrade my center channel since it wasnt voice matched to my mains I had the older synergy center. So I goto wonderfull ebay and find one says KSCC1 but describes the new model fully specifically says things like 5 in square tractrix horn tweeter 90x6 K101-1 tweeter etc so im like ok this has to be the new one even has a picture of the new one. So I Buy it get it in the mail and its the old one and im like I dont want this I just sold this. I email the guy and hes a prick says it says KSCC1 thats what u got and I say well u have false info all over your add Im sorry if I goofed on the model number but your add is very misleading alls I want is my money back. His add even said all over THE NEW SYNERGY from the success of its predecessor. Totally led me to believe this was the new one. Anyhow im getting my money back but I couldnt believe this guys ignorance. Heres the auction here. Over Priced, Not too good with highs, not to good with bass, did i say over priced? All in all there ok but for the price of there systems like say the acoustimass 15 setup. Thats cool Mike I hear ya on the Torque thing thats one thing with 4 cylinders Theres alot of hondas that road race with my friends and there SE-Rs and for a 4 banger they have a nice torque curve from teh factory 145HP 136TQ where as hondas will be like 170HP 110TQ and if u boost them the se-r will have a dyno chart thats compareable to a 350 nice and smooth which works good when coming out of the turns and the LSD Trans helps too Nice Car Mike Theres a bit diff. With Real Import Racers and the riceboys.. and thats what gives us a bad rep..
