Upgrading to rf-62ii and want to get people's opinion on what would be the better sub to go with. Please help I will be going next weekend to listen to the JL. If thats the case I would rather wait for July get new product which would cost about the same considering that for this wearhouse sale they are charging for shipping. Any opinions / advise please. Oh by the way they informed me that the XPA-5 would be $750 snd the UMC-200 $550.

Yes it is, he gets sound in all channels just to much hum specialy at refrence levels.

PS2 or 3? PS2 Will not even play Blu Ray. My Yamah SACD/DVDA player hasent worked for sometime, saving up for Oppo. I trieed using my PS3, according to what Iheard some play SACD some dont. I found that mine plays some SACD on 2channel. It will not play them in 5.1. As far for dvd audio it plays it. I dont know if you are concerned with playing those formats, just an fyi..

Scrappydue and youthman are right.. The deals are out there and you will want to upgrade! This stuff is worse than meth. You said your budget is 1500. I got 2 RF52II, 2 RS42II and RC-62II from Sound distributors for 1,300 delivered. While I am happy with my system I already want to upgrade. I am starting with my components first then my speakers. So save yourself time and money and go as big and as good as you can.. IMHO.. Just re watched on DVD, so I cant review picture, U571 and Behind Enemy Lines.. These movies have incredible audio. U571 the Deph charge scene is amazing!! behind Enemy Lines is in DTS and the scene where they are trying to get away from a heat seaking missile is even better. If you are a movie buff and havent seen these you should.

Alright, I made a decision!! Its the XPA-5 and UMC 200. I will wait for sales price in July and have no regrets. Thank you all who helped me here and on my other post. K5SS, the reason I wanted to know how eazy it would be to sell the UPA is so that I can upgrade to the XPA-5 later. I will take Scraooydude advise and get the XPA-5 no regrets.

I had the same issue. Not as bad as yours, I was having problems finding something for my RC-62II. I ended up mounting my tv and using the top portion of my stand for the center. Good luck.
