  1. If you want to run the RC-7 in a vertical orientation, you could probably take the horns out and rotate them 90 degrees, so that they still offer good side-to-side dispersion.
  2. Sure, that is fine, it will take a few days for the money to transfer into my PayPal account anyway. Please PM me your user name.
  3. Good point, please insure the speaker for the full purchase price. Do you take PayPal, or other forms of online payment?
  4. How much for shipping on the RC-7 to 539 East, 5th St. Neche, ND, USA 58265 Thanks!
  5. No pictures of it, but a great price if it's in good shape http://www.kijiji.ca/v-electronics/city-of-toronto/vandersteen-klipsch-omage-speakers-for-sale/1089934689?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
  6. No border troubles. All 3 of us ended up going a little over the spending limit but the border agents didn't really care. Probably not worth the time to go through dozens of receipts to collect a couple dollars worth of taxes.
  7. I'm home safe and sound with the new speakers. Thanks Gorm!
  8. Aww. I take it you won't be home this weekend then Gorm?
  9. I'm taking a shopping trip to Minneapolis from the 28th to 30th. If I have time I may come down to help you get rid of your RF-7s. Looks like around 4 hours south of Minneapolis?

    RF5

An "American Chopper" fan could think it's in New York
  11. I make mine out of Canare L-5CFB coax cable with their RCAP RCA connectors.
  12. I'm working on replacing a broken woofer in my RB-5 and the dumb shop sent me the wrong one. The RB-5 has a K-1084-S and they sent me a K-1084-SB which goes in the RS-7. Does anyone know how much of a difference there is between the two? They look identical to me and the SB fits perfectly but I want to be sure it will pair with the tweeter and other speaker nicely. I will be able to see how it sounds in a few hours when I get home from work but in the meantime, if anyone has any information, it would be great. Thanks.
  13. How does the Paradigm Servo-15 compare to these two? I don't know how you feel about used stuff Kyler, but there is a Servo 15 in the paper under Miscellaneous Articles (#400). Comes with a crossover for $1000 CAD which sounds like a great deal to me.
  14. I don't know if you've all seen this a thousand times before but I think it's pretty cool.
  15. Cool to see some other Promedia owners who moved up to better stuff. Thanks for pointing that out about impedance ccsakura, I don't know how I missed it. A watt into 4 ohms will definitely be different from one into 8 ohms. I'm thinking this will be my first step into a better system, and I will keep upgrading as time and money allows. Seems kind of like what you're doing. The RB-5's should make some nice surrounds in the future. Juba310, did you try it and see? I hooked up my dad's old Bose 301's to my 4.1's and the sound was fine for me. I think they are rated at around 100 watts and I know they are 8 ohms. I would not want to crank them but never felt the need to do so either. The RB-5's are most likely more efficient than the 301's so what you said seems kind of surprising. If all else fails, I guess I could put the RB-5's away for a bit until I get a receiver.
