  1. You have another interested person in the RB-5's, but I's need to have them shipped as well unfortunately. I have had pretty good luck with having things shipped before though, and I would probably refinish them upon arrival anyways, so as long as the drivers were protected I'd be happy.[H]
  2. Who cares about Ben Afflack? I saw the movie just for Jennifer Garner! I must say I was a fan of Alias, but this movie gave her a perfect role to play, although a few scenes were quite cheesy. What can you really expect from a movie based on a comic book?
  3. I went and demoed 2 of the ones i was looking at. the infocus x1 and the sanyo plv-z1. Suffice to say they are very different dlp vs lcd technology. I actually prefer the lcd image over the dlp which is supposedly better. Either project imho far surpasses regular rptv's. Even hd compatible ones. I definately think projection technology is now affordable enough for anyone considering a bigscreen. I personally think i'm sold on the sanyo plv-z1, only 1500 when ordered online to the states.
  4. I'm having ideas of grandeur. . . Can anyone recommend HT projectors? I'm looking at 3 in particular based on price (i'm still cheap after all). Sanyo PLV Z1 (LCD) Infocus X1 (DLP) Panasonic PT-L300U (LCD) I've read some reviews on projectorcentral.com but was wondering if anyone on this BB had anymore insight as I've trusted most of your judgement in the past and it's paid off as I've been lurking around. (I've also look on HTforum a bit) Thanks
  5. Out of the three integrated amps I have: Creek 4040s2 Nad C340 Rotel RA 971 (2 channel integrated) I'm sorry to say the Rotel is the harshest. I do like my rotel rcd 951.(cd player) I'm running all heritage series though: 4 heresys 2 cornwalls
  6. Bose is not the problem, Nuance (or is it nuisance), is the real scam. Don't know if you boys in the states have these, but they're not much better than the guys selling out of the back of the van, they sell these things to unsuspecting people with their infamous in-store sales tactics. My opinion is that if you don't research the gear you're going to buy, then it's your own fault. These guys take it a step too far though.
  7. From Ferris Bulher's Day Off, when Ferris is talking about the Ferrai, "It's so choice. . . if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up!" another Army of Darkness, "Shut the door, what were you raised in a barn? probably was you stupid primative" "Shop smart, shop S-Mart!" "Baby, you got ugly real fast"
  8. I'm pretty sure Laturalus from tool is marked "hdcd", I personally haven't found a cd that displays the hdcd light without the disc or cover having it marked on it. I have downloaded songs and burned them onto a dics and had the hdcd light come on only for the one track though. . .
  9. Hmmm . . . Cohiba, Robustos, Hecho a Mano
  10. Thanks for the info NOS, I'm already running a pair of cornwalls and heresy's. i was hoping for someone who had heard these and could give me a comparison, oh well, i may just have to take the time to look/listen for myself.
  11. I've got 2 hcdc players (rotel rcd 951, toshiba dvd 3205), IMHO hcdc discs do sound better, but the hcdc discs may not always be available in your favorite artists, although there is alot of selection. For playing regular cd's some people say hcdc players they sound better sound better than non-hcdc plyers, I haven't proven this to myself yet.
  12. Anyone have any info/pictures on these? Are they anygood, what's the lowdown? There are a couple for sale in my neck of the woods, and was wondering if they are worth checkin' out at $600 Canadian
  13. Testing the new avatar. . . Spacemoose, the classless chauvanistic avenger! Spacemoose dot com, (a university of alberta classic comic critter)
  14. Personally i've got a nad c340, creek 4240, and a rotel ra 971. I've tried them all with my '85 cornwalls, here is what i've found: The creek is the best musically, the nad is a little less musical, but more bass heavy,(good for louder listening) and the rotel is the poorer (less musical) of the three, but has more options. Hope this helps!
  15. 1. What Heritage speakers have you owned, currently own, or want to own? Currently own '85 Heresy II's, '85 Cornwall II's. 2. What was your age when you first purchased a Heritage series loudspeaker? 24, got the cornwalls 3. What is your current age? Curently 26 4. Why did you choose Heritage loudspeakers over another Klipsch model? Was able to get them used for a fair price, uncle was selling them because they were too large. 5. If you currently own some Heritage loudspeakers, and could purchase some more Klipsch speakers(new or used), which ones would you purchase? Why? I would probably buy another set of heresy's or cornwalls to comlete the hifi/hometheater combo. 6. Do you think the upcoming Jubilee should become part of the "Heritage" line, since it was also designed by PWK? nerver heard of it until now?
