  8. Now those 2………..are what I'm talking about
  9. I greatly appreciate all of your replies on this topic because, quite frankly, I thought the site was getting a bit dull. That was the reason for starting this topic, and it has clearly opened up a friendly discussion without the need to debate any completely un-winnable argument(s).
  10. Um.. I don't think those qualify for mentioning - unless you've beaten the p!$$ out of them already. See post #1
  11. Good deal here - you can buy a set of towers and be blessed with the rest. "O..K… honey, I know I have a buying issue, and I promise to sell all of the speakers in the living room."
  12. black friday is quite like the bell in Pavlov's salivation experiments
  13. Chaos can be blamed squarely on the retail stores NOT having an orderly process for item distribution. It starts with an orderly pre-sale line up, vouchers given out for "hot" items, and NO buyer possession prior to being paid in full. These types of systems have been implemented in experienced retailers for the safety of the staff as well as the customers. Not having those systems in place results in the chaos or riot like behavior shown in those videos. One could surely argue that the lack of such implementation was purposely done to crate the frenzy shown.
  14. Maybe he could get into the pony-express business and do delivery runs of audio gear for the greater good of the Klipsch brotherhood !
  15. No, not the restored, beautiful 60's muscle car, classic, or parade queen - but rather that dirty, dented, rusted, old piece that gets you from A to B without any hesitation, the one that starts every time, that you'd drive anywhere on a minutes notice, and hopefully has never left you stranded because you could always milk it home if needed. So, how old is your daily driver & share mileage. '96 GMC Yukon - 212K (dying a slow death) '98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - 165K (still averages 23 mpg) This might be good, if you's are willing to play.
  16. I believe my gear is worth more than my car
  17. No? I've seen many of these clips over many Black Fridays, and I've never seen any rich dames flopping around on the floor at Saks or Nordies. Just my experience. Sent from my SM-T330NU using Tapatalk That sure would be fun to watch though - No?
  18. Ahh… but the memories of those adventures should bring more joy than any of the items acquired
  19. What next, the $1 bill? It's been discussed & debated. Currency without the gold standard is only a promissory note to pay. Unfortunately, currency is on the way out folks. Once that happens, the resulting electronic economy will allow Big Brother to track every cent.
  20. help on the white noise issue - anyone?
  21. Wallpaper, really now? I see that the grill cloth has been "upgraded" as well. Artistry at its finest. Since quality wallpaper work doesn't come cheap, & with matching grills, $1000 might be a hel-uv-a-deal.
  22. Nice of you to get this back on topic. Since they are now gone, lets let this one die as this topic was at lease double crapped - crappy condition speakers & crappy college football references
  23. Exactly - a marketing induced, retail - riot. Humorous on the surface, but it's way too similar to the chaos associated with food shortages experienced around the world. Anywhere that demand far exceeds supply, human behavior tends to become savage. Remember the 70's gas crisis? I'm not a dooms-dayer by any means, but that behavior could be common place should our supply of fundamental need items become compromised. Man, I sure hope not in my day!
