  1. They are working on it. If you'd like to read up on the previous discussion, it is here: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/160533-klipschcom-websitesearch-box-what-happened/?hl=specs
  2. Dragging you in jimjimbo. Unfortunately, I've been an U/M fan for too long evidenced by a continued chum bucket of disappointment served up to me & the rest of us over the years. Rodriguez, Hoke, c'mon. How many years wasted there?!!! I've even tossed the Lions into the abyss, never to be followed again. The best bang for the buck is high school football, but even that is becoming a recruiters dream with school of choice and stacked teams. I'm fortunate to live in an area where nearly all 8 high school divisions are superbly represented each year by capable kids & excellent coaches. Deep runs through the playoffs for the chance at the title game at Ford Field has become common for our local teams. AND a regular season game is only $5 with playoffs a whopping $6.
  3. I agree with the 1080p versus 4K observation, and many of the other features being included on the new sets. My response wasn't based solely on video appearance. But, if one is trying to assemble a HT that is somewhat future proof with HDCP 2.2 compliance & offers HDMI 2.0 throughout the component structure, there aren't many offerings. This arguably causes consumers to overbuy just to get the features needed - or thought to be needed. Personally, I'd like a TV to last 10 years minimum. Honestly, I'm having a difficult time nixing my Toshiba 36", 185# tube television. The picture is great for being non-HD and it's - 15 years old. If a replacement TV is going to die in 5 years +/-, then sure, maybe buy the cheapest POS one can find. 4K is really not needed in most situations, and wearing glasses to "experience" 3D is laughable. An occasional visit to an IMAX theater could scratch that itch if necessary.
  4. Agreed. Great deals on the surface (pricing), but specs on these discounted sets are underwhelming. CNET offers a plethora of information for those doing research, but it can be a daunting task to wade through all the information. Personally, I'm looking at a 55" due to my space constraints, and my seemingly wasted time in going through so much specification data points me in the direction of the Samsung model #UN55JU7100FXZA My conclusion is based mostly on 4K, all the HDMI inputs being both 2.0 & HDCP 2.2 compliant, and 240 hz refresh rate(ok 120 X 2). Currently $1099 - http://www.tvsuperstores.com/Samsung_UN55JU7100FX_4K_UHD_JU7100_Series_Smart_TV_-_55_Class_54_6_Diag_52.html?refid=gshop&gclid=CPvv76K0uMkCFQ2HaQodJ-gF1A Crutchfield has it for $1199 and has provided a quick look spec run down: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_30555J7100/Samsung-UN55JU7100.html
  5. +1 on making the drive, to be sure of what your getting, especially with the $$$ involved. 10 hours round trip - noooooo sweat. Plan on 12 though to listen if necessary, load, and get some eats for the trip back. Fuel here is down to $1.65 / gallon, which if similar there, would help with your trip expenses.
  6. Hmmm, seems that even I've been looking for RS-7's. Anything you won't use / want / or need of that entire set would be easy to sell off later, except for the RF-7's which don't ship well. Good Luck
  7. +1 Doesn't "sound" like you will do wrong, so if you want them, make sure to buy them - ALL. The 64 alone covers the price for the whole package.
  8. Wow, you find, and score on the unicorn at a great price and can't seem to saddle it into your system. I looked for 13 months and could only find 5 offered with the best price of $600 + shipping that would've covered 2200 miles. PASS. I "settled" on 2 Velodyne F-1500's. I would still enjoy the opportunity to own 1, or 2 of those RSW-15's. My cherry 5's & 7's have been calling out for their short, stumpy brothers to come home & join them.
  9. Can I crap my own thread? Michigan seems to ALWAYS have talent, but rarely an equal amount of discipline to compliment it. No wonder OSU & MSU have had their number.
  10. Kelly, I don't believe anyone is angry but rather trying to give you as much applicable information based upon personal experience and knowledge. Add in some usual ribbing amongst the seasoned forum members, and you have a well rounded assembly of responses. Stick around, enjoy the banter, and continue to ask questions when needed - this coming from a "newbie" myself. Post count rising……...
  11. Be careful, he may recommend 5 - one for each channel.

  15. I'm struggling with this exact issue, and although I'm not really in need of the Atmos, it seems to be included with current offerings. I'm leaning toward upping my budget to $1000 which would allow consideration of the Dennon avr-x4200w, with 125wpc / 7.2 Atmos / 4K / HD / wifi / bluetooth / airplay / Audyssey Platinum with LFE - and it is HDCP 2.2 compliant.
  16. I run them as small with v1800 as backup, I do not plan on trying thisSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Have you moved the sw-112 to another area, or have you integrated it into your primary listening area?
  17. Good deal, sure, if you're looking at price alone. Just say no, and let them go. In the end you will have more money to "jump" at a better, quality, offering.
  18. I'm not sure you provided any quantitative response to my question which would further assist OP's understanding Question: Do you think pumping "only" 200 watts into your RF-7's would've have the same result, as they would've had 50 extra watts RMS to work with before reaching explosion mode? Those are rated at 1000 watts peak and I hear of people pushing 300 watts at them regularly.
  19. NO!!! I was running 250 wpc amp to a pair of RF-7's (250 watt max cont.). It took out all 4 woofers Live and learn - the expensive way. Question: Do you think pumping "only" 200 watts into them would've have the same result, as the RF-7's would've had 50 extra watts RMS to work with before reaching explosion mode? 20. Sure, theoretically your 150 watt RMS speakers should handle all of your AVR maxed @ 125 watts. I mean, you could always try it, but really, how loud do you need your speakers to play to get that warm fuzzy feeling from owning them? This sounds like a friend of mine who wanted to peg the speedometer in his Ford Cobra Mustang just to say he did over 150mph. All was great with him & his pride ride until he crashed it beyond repair.
  21. Thanks jimjImbo I never really read the fine print on that one as I got caught up on posting the finds.
