    R-10SW $174

Today only from Fry's Electronics daily deals. $174 shipped. Brand new with warranty
  5. Looks like another scam. Email format the same as the Heresy craigslist listings.
  6. The real sad part is that people fall for these scams every day otherwise the scammers wouldnt waste their time.
  7. The $75 pair mentions consecutive serial numbers. Anyone who is smart enough to know the importance of that will know these aren't $75 speakers. Probably want to give you a bogus check for $2500 and ask that you pay them $2425 in return.

  9. Sign up for Fry's electronics daily deals and with patience you can get a R12SW for $197 shipped. I have seen it come across the daily deals often.
  10. Sorry....scroll to the very bottom of that page. I should have linked to my post, not to the initial post in that thread. I see it now, sorry you missed out.
  11. These are not the same ones. The $40 Hereseys were north of Orlando.
  12. Saw on Wallapop. Included stands and monster cable. Pictures looked great. Was posted 15 hours ago and already sold. Anyone here get them?
  13. Crutchfield has new RF 62 II for $299 each, cherry. Free shipping and warranty, might be an option for you
  14. Still no surrounds, no rush as I know I'll find the right ones eventually. I did get the SB-2000 and can say it is plenty powerful enough even for my somewhat larger basement. Can feel it in the chest, still playing with it to find the right balance. Didn't do a sub crawl (sitting up front left corner). There is a small bathroom at the rear of the room. Strangely, the bass has extra punch in the bathroom. I can relax and listen to the music there. My wife thinks I spend too much time in the bathroom anyway. I have some cheap Bose 100 set up as surrounds for the time being. I know that they are not nearly as efficient as the RPs. They are rated "4 to 8 ohms". Other than sound quality, do I need to be worried about using these with my Yamaha TSR 5790 (essentially a RXV 579)?
  15. Nearby......Can you give me a reason to return my new RP160s and RP250C?
  16. Thanks for all the ideas. I am keeping an eye on Craigslist as well as some other local selling sites. A question about the RP 150M. This is rear ported but has a keyhole bracket. Why would Klipsch include a keyhole bracket if it should not be mounted against a wall? If mounted, how does this affect performance considering that a sub is being used? Thanks
  17. I am happy with my RP 160M's and RP 250C. I have an SB-2000 on the way. Need to compliment with rear speakers. What are some cost effective options? System used for movies.and music. Leaning towards a mono vs bipolar and would like to hear your input. I have seen some used options locally such as RB 41 for $150 and an KS 14 for $50. Or, would it be best to buy RP 150M's for the rear? For $50, would the KS be a decent match for sides in a 7.1? Thanks in advance.
  18. Welcome from another newbie! What is your opinion of the SB-2000?
  19. Also r-12 sub for $197. Unfortunately, these are in store only, no shipping.
  20. A follow-up to my post. Unfortunately I missed out on Scrappy's set-up. However, I did pickup RP-160M's and a RP-250C. Looking at a sub. I know that SVS subs are well regarded. Just trying to determine if they are worth the extra cost. I am no audiophile by any means. My last sub was a JBL PS120 which was a sealed 12 inch sub. Purchased around 1994 or so. As far as my ears could tell it worked great and was very reliable. I sold it earlier this year when I moved. Should have held on to it. Looking at either a SB-2000 or PC-2000. I prefer the smaller foot print. However, there is a sale on the R-110SW for $439 which includes the wireless. That essentially makes that sub $300 plus the $130 wireless kit. Although it would be nice to have a matching sub it is not a requirement for me. So, what do you think? Is either SVS really worth $260 (SB) or $360 (PC) more than the R-110SW? Thanks!
  21. Scrappydue's set up is real tempting. Waiting to see what the shipping cost would be. I understand that there are always tradeoffs with smaller speakers. Here is what I am contemplating now. I should add that I picked up a Yamaha receiver from Costco for $339 (model TSR 5790), which I believe is a clone of the RXV 579. My room is in the basement with tile floors and an area rug and approx. 25X25. Found on CL Quintet's latest version V and used only "for a couple of months" and in perfect condition for $100. These have gotten almost universal good reviews for what they are but I understand that the sound will not rival larger speakers. I have not seen V5 for this cheap. I could combine that with a R-110SW, currently on sale with the wireless kit included for a total of $539 ($439 + $100). If I decide to upgrade later I have a useful sub and I am only "out" $100. OR Do I go with something like Scrappydue has up for sale which are the RP-160M, RP-250C, and RP-240S for a total of $800 + shipping? Would a sub be absolutely necessary with the RP-160 set-up? In a nutshell, do I go with smaller, cheaper V5 with R-110SW for $539 or bookshelf RP's with dedicated RP surrounds but no sub for $800 plus shipping? Thanks in advance.
  22. Hello, new to the forum. I am also somewhat new to Klipsch. Purchased some Klipsch earbuds a couple of years ago and they are the best I have ever had. So, I thought I would give them a look for some new speakers and hoping the more experienced folks can provide their thoughts. I last purchased speakers many years ago (JBL 2800,JBL sub). Still have two Bose 101 from eons ago which I havent used much. I got rid of the JBL when I moved recently. Looking for a home theater set-up for movies, PS3 and some music. Quintets appealed to me because they do not have a big footprint. I had placed an order for V Quintets and a R-10 sub. Price was very good with HHGregg ($674 out the door). However, they never shipped after they told me the "shipping labels were printed". Their own employees didn't know about their Same Day Shipping Guaranty that is listed at their website. After a week of run arounds I cancelled the order. Never again with HHGregg. I am now second guessing my decision for Quintets. Some sale prices have me considering the following: RP-150M X 2 for the mains ($334) RP-250C for the center ($294) R-110SW sub ($439 with free wireless kit). For the surround speakers, I may hold off to see if the R-14M goes on sale. Still need to convince the wife that this would be a better deal even though it would be about $500 more than the Quintets. I could also bring the price down lower if I chose instead the R-15M and R-25C over the RP's. Thoughts and opinions? Thanks!
