  1. This is what I love most about the heritage speakers. You dont hear a guitar playing, you hear someone PLAYING a guitar with the fingers moving across the frets etc. I also like to listen to hip hop artists like Atmosphere and you can hear him sneak in breaths to keep his flow going during passages. Good stuff. Not only that but on certain songs I can actually hear the singer's lips separate as they open their mouth before they start singing which I have also noticed when watching Bluray's in certain movie scenes since I got my third La Scala to run as a center channel.
  2. Man... I knew I heard someone say they were looking for a single Belle. Now I can't remember what FB page I saw it on but there was a guy selling a single Belle...If I run across that ad again, I forward to you. I appreciate that but I actually recently bought a second pair of La Scala's so I no longer need the single Belle.
  3. Might of been the eq. When I first got the RC-64ii before I callibrated it, it was way too bright had a horrible hiss to it. Callibrated it with MCACC pro and it make it sound 100% better.
  4. Those things are amazing! Good luck with the sale!
  5. Ya, not too long ago I switched to a Pioneer Elite over a Yamaha I was extremely pleased as well!
  6. That's weird I have a Pioneer VSX-90 my theater is in a fairly smaller room but it sets the La Scala's to -12 which I find to seem pretty accurate especially when watching movies at reference level. Anything higher than that and I would probably go deaf. The only thing that my receiver does is it will constantly tell me my mains are out of phase when I run the MCACC. I have said this in other threads and some have laughed and thought it was a bit foolish but I heard about a trick on the AVS forum where you tape the mic to your forehead and sit exactly in your listening position and believe it or not it made a HUGE difference in the outcome of the MCACC for me as opposed to just leaving it on the headrest or even the seat of the listening position on the couch. I personally found whenever I didn't do the forehead trick the sound settings came out way too bright and tinny as opposed to the deeper much richer fuller soundstage I got when doing the mic on the forehead trick. I would say it's worth a shot you never know.
  7. Try a Belle, Bellas are beautiful but not the same as a Belle :D Mark LoL I didnt even realize I did that!Well everyone will be happy to know I found a pair today so now I've got a La Scala as a center and I'll probably be posting the other up for sale in the garage sale tomorrow. Cool. Where do you live?but more importantly how does the la scala sound vs the 64ii???? It blends MUCH better, honestly it sounds like your in an actual theater. Pretty much just what I expected. While the RC-64ii was an amazing center and easily the best one I ever had until this point you can't match that full rich deep immersive sound you will get out of a La Scala! I also have to say it seems like the dynamic range on the La Scala is much better. What I mean by that is especially in movies if someone raises their voice or yells it's astonishing how loud it gets! Hey Youthman I urge you to get the Revnant on Bluray and watch the Scene where the bear attacks Leonardo Di Caprio honestly when the bear roars it sounds like it's in your living room, gives you chills down your spine! The only downside to speak of is the fact that the TV is sitting on top of the La Scala and it is much higher than it was before but in all honesty it doesn't seem to affect the viewing angle. I think that's only affected when you go off to one side. It'll just take some getting used to but that's something I obviously knew I would have to do going into this.
  8. Hey just out of curiosity how's that palladium center measure against the rc-64ii? I was always curious how they compared.
  9. Haha ya I actually ended up finding a pair of La Scala's yesterday but I did take a bit of a road trip to get them. So I guess I'll have to edit this post to reflect that I'm no longer looking for one.
  10. I just noticed the serial number tag on that one either must have gotten ripped off when I transported them from the car or it may have never had it to begin with. Also, looks like those could have been spray painted and may have not been originally black. Didn't really get the best look at them yesterday when I bought them because it was dark by the time I got to the guys house. I realize this one is a little more beat up than I had thought so price is definitely negotiable. They do work though and sound incredible.
  11. Lol ya i thought of just keeping it but honestly my theater room isn't big enough to have all 4 la Scala's. I'm in the Connecticut area

  13. I purchased a pair of La Scala's earlier today with the intention of only using one as a center channel between the two I already have. Paid 1000 for the pair and will sell the one I am not using for 500. They are black, not the best shape in the world. I will post detailed pictures tomorrow as I just got home from a 3 hour trip both ways picking them up and setting up and testing them. According to the serial number they are 88's and they have wheels installed on them.

  15. I dont, but he posted just yesterday looking for a Belle...might PM him. Ya, he got our locations mixed up. He's all the way in Chicago. Too far.
  16. They are already posted here a couple threads down. Im currently looking for anyone that might be interested in splitting the pair. I am looking for either a bella or La Scala to use as a center.
  17. Hey I just saw those on Craigslist! Anyone here looking to split that pair with me? I'm looking to use one as a center between my La Scala's.
  18. What do you guys think of using a Bella as a center? Doesn't a Bella have pretty much the same drivers as a La Scala?
  19. I was hoping you would reply! I'd just like to tell you I've been following your La Scala theater build and it's really amazing what you've built!
  20. Hello everyone, I am currently running 2 La Scala's as mains and a RC-64ii as a center as my front stage in my theater. The plan has been to replace the RC-64ii with a third La Scala when I am able to find one local and by a seller that is either just selling a single or willing to separate a pair. Recently I have seen though that the P-27c has drastically dropped in price to the point where if I saved up a bit I might be able to afford it. Question is, would I be better off getting that or a third La Scala? Oh, and while I have everyone's attention, is there anyone here that has experience with the P-27c and the RC-64ii that might be able to tell me if there's a big difference in sound quality between the two?
  21. Absolutely phenomenal! Looks way better than any real theater I've ever been to! Can't believe how nice that is!
  22. Very nice! My first heritage speaker was a Chorus I, very fine speaker right there someone is sure to enjoy them!
  23. ya your going to have to get a program that compresses files. If your doing it from an iPhone I would highly suggest the app called photohrinker it's the one I always use.
