Tornado Warning issued for Oneida County

ONEIDA COUNTY – The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Tornado Warning for Oneida County.
The warning has been issued for 4:45-5:15 p.m.
According to the NWS, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Verona near Oneida, moving east at 30 miles per hour.
The storm is expected to be near Vernon around 4:50 p.m. and Westmoreland around 5:05 p.m.
Residents are advices to take cover, and move to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of the building. If you’re outside, in a mobile home or a vehicle, you’re advised to move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
