  1. Thanks @Emile that is a beautiful sounding piano piece I just sampled. But... I'm still with the TX boot shufflin tunes the last hour, my glass jar only had a little left in it so I have to re-stock it! Yea I know Los Lobos is from LA... they sound like TX!
  2. Well..... If you had what we have with the high humidity, jumbo sized insects and spiders like FL, you might not like it. Glad we do not have their little scorpions, heard they could make you real sick. Still jammin with that live Kiko album concert!
  3. I've moved on from my long-standing Rain Song to these guys What a fantastic band! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7HX3TBUTk8&list=PLZyU18U9YnjqAK_Z86UyeItDcloebbAbA&index=2 ^ That's the whole show!
  4. Sorry about that man! I got my wish, the sun came out and the road is dry. Yard isn't yet but no problem, cut the grass two days ago. It's steamy again! *
  5. Rain, rain go away.
  6. YUM! `cept I like the homemade fresh pasta I used to get so I only buy the thick stuff now a days. Yours is close, try the sherry in the last ten min of cooking. Makes a wonderful difference than when I'm out of that little bottle of it.
  7. Hallelujah! The world would be a better place! I still do the food pyramid from the 60s although I'm substituting my protein from the normal carnivorous type. Not every time though. Saw mentioned earlier here; long hours at work and exercise. That and enough sleep plus playtime (yeah that can change over the years) are all integral to good nutrition. Also saw "balance" Ah Yes so don't gorge on one food group and ignore others. That's why I've been messed up for 25 yrs. I concentrated on Barley, Corn & Rye too much for a few years. Now that earlier stuff I put up is more difficult to maintain with the RX that keep me alive.... it comes from a mushroom in Japan!
  8. While we're back there...
  9. Yep they don't sell to the USA directly now. Guess they'd have to include the kit to make it work with our AC!! Get one of those from ebay you have to convert it yourself also after the purchase and shipment over here!
  10. Grew Purple Emperor Eggplant a few years ago it works well with the Parmesan! Don't they realize they're going to total that vehicle driving through a flood? *
  11. Like those Mathmos that have the shape of the originals. At ebay close to $150 + $100 shipping I'd get one of those with the Black Plum wax if the shipping wasn't high like that!
  12. Love Chicken Cacciotti, fry it take it out of the pan. Sautee onion, grn bell pepper add garlic at the end of that right before they get kinda translucent. Add your tomatoes plus some sauce, put chk back in, cover and simmer for a half hour I think. + three tbsp sherry ten minutes before you take it off the heat. Serve over pasta... for me fettuccini. That simple recipe will be better than any you've had at any restaurant you paid $20 a plate for it at!! Thanks Ma! You were the best to give me that and others over the phone off the top of your head!!
  13. Yea there are more Coronets here than anyplace I've been in my life. Mopar dealers have obviously been Dealin' last few years. After hearing those being dogged day in and day out... being one of those is probable. But heck the difference in the sound like someone was raging just got me to bolt up and wait... Because if someone was that out of control, with that amount of torque and mph after ten seconds or so it was a few miles down. I'm a DieHard Mopar fan! Charger is a coupe. Coronet is the sedan. Don't care if "they" change the definition, I go for what I know.
  14. Think I picked mine up from that place in the state Dorothy was from. Acoustic Sounds.
  15. Dave, your Escondido doesn't sound supremely good? See if you can find the version I've got, don't recall what it was though. If it was an Analogue Productions that would explain it. Discogs would tell ya!
  16. I thought I was going to hear sirens last night. Was just about asleep when at the corner someone floored one of those new V-8s, I mean not just red-lined but wide freakin open. I know the sound when I hear it. Whoever had good traction not much tire noise and headed S on the highway. Seemed "off" to me. Went and opened the door and then heard what I thought was a far off three part crash. Different noise than it was in 1972. Like three thudding noises in one. That was 11:44 didn't hear sirens for twenty minutes. Guess they were two separate things. Several cars went that way, but was he off the road in the weeds, trees or swamp and no one saw? I'll check the news here the next couple days, but thinking he made it to GA!
  17. Beautiful area @MicroMara. More desirable to me now than concrete and close convenience.
  18. Yea Man! Since you turned me onto them. I realized that's who I'd liked watching in those hours long Crossroads Specials on tv for about four years running. * & that link above for the fourth release?? Better be there with it up when it starts. After that if you try to watch the premiere you won't be able to until it is over with. Found out the last time.
  19. Smart. My Aunt went through it in the late 70s and her back got worse after each successive one. My mother did not want to get it done but degradation of her discs gave her no choice on the first and final operation on her back.
  20. It'll give you more to do when you back relaxes.. Muscular or skeletol?
  21. Had to pause Van. Got another tab opened for Sly, when it hits I can't ignore it sometimes, Timeless!
  22. Nakamichi made excellent gear, could still kick myself for selling that SR40 STASIS integrated amp i had in the 90s. It wasn't a hundred watter for my Heresy, but it was a 40 watter that pushed way above thanks to it's designer Nelson Pass. It went to 4:00 on the vol knob without clipping at all !
  23. Mellowing out here today. Having a hard time concieving that a cold teriaki pork sandwich on rye with Dukes, provolone and sweet red pepper could taste like it was from a $30 plate! To Lupie's and the wonderful music the owners played (by the LP) at that restaraunt back in the early 80s! Van & Carlos were regulars there, this one from 2016 would have fit. *
  24. It's Tedeshi Trucks today. The last chapter of their big thematic 2022 release is tomorrow night! Expecting this to be a strong one like the first two, there was a lull in the third. That's just my take, still thought provoking with "ideals of good morals" or striving to be so maybe.... you'd have to read up on it if you've got the time.
  25. Everything is reminding me of FL lately. Speedos and spandex just ain't right sometimes! (shakes head smiley) Got just about shaken out of the bed at 4am today with a short strong t-storm. Made the 20 oz minimum at almost 5 then laid down for an hour at 8. made 20 more a big salad with blue cheese and the pork tenderloin is almost ready. Not bad for a gray day.
