  1. Don't know if anything was directed towards me or my view... but it was similar statements years ago that made me put a note at my page here. It's just the idea that those of us that dare to differ with the zip-cord crowd are wrong, or dumb or can't hear. For any or all of us that dare to think that way I'll pipe some hot air in : I'll quote from that page: "Don't tell me my cabling is snake oil unless you've made direct comparisons yourself and couldn't discern the difference." And if you can't?.... "Why you need Klipsch Willis?" I compared and there is a difference. That's why I invested some $ in them. How can I love the Klipsch Heritage sound and not think 18g zip cord is just fine? I compared with my speakers as far apart as the room(s) allowed, they're always like that. It's amazing to me how some can mock or be prejudiced against someone or their viewpoints. Without even bothering to open their mind a little and looking at a differing possibility. from Merrium-Webster.com: Ignorant shares a root with the word ignore, one of those etymological connections which appear obvious once they are pointed out, yet remained overlooked by most. Both words come from the Latin ignorare (“to ignore, be ignorant of”). There are several meanings of ignorant, all of which are concerned with a lack of knowledge in some sense; some of these are more insulting than others, and care should be exercised before applying this word to people who you do not wish to offend. rant over. ** Think I'll put those 10g on my subs
  2. Enjoy that half-speed @Full Range !
  3. That was earlier. Wanna know what's on now? *BAM!!
  4. I like that about them! Aways did.
  5. Whatchu talkin' `bout?
  6. Well had most of that in the "Brick" and it worked while I slept in my clothes for a month or so
  7. I'd call it heavy in the bass, muffled mids and treble! These gave a much better clean & clear from 20 to 20Khz Both did increase the dbs some compared to my older Phoenix 14g tinned copper wiring. I'm not going $$$ but did get those Rocket 33s at the garage sale here and love them!
  8. Different day, different mood: Almost got to see them in the late 80s they were south 240 mi, then north of me by less than 150 miles. They had an almost digital-like edge to their sound even when it was LPs and cassettes!
  9. Yes! And it's a great album to start out with. Had it once, have it again along with Venus & Mars and Red Rose Speedway. If I could ever get my stuff back that is😠
  10. Great one there Mike! Y'all make it hard to not stay logged in sometimes
  11. So you're the one! If it is the LS IIs I drooled, but could not pull off the deal
  12. Had another "oldie" in the ride today, thought I'd share one of my faves off of it. Of course I always try to get at least a 1080 vid that opens up the whole lp if you'd like to fire one up and reminisce It helps a little with this recording and it's mid-70s coliseum-tone.
  13. We had some 60s to 70s last week, but were cooling down again now. Still got the heat on 55 and it hasn't run in a week or so. Not complaining, but I love that little Vornado heater I bought [(another thing I have in storage that my evil relative won't let me get)<complaint logged with God] on low with it set to 3 of 10 keeps my bedroom closer to 60 at night. Works with the layers of old blankets I have and the newer wool one on top. Got one fuzzy, then a knitted, then the good wool one with a weighted bedspread on top. Sleep like a baby unless I have fresh onions after 6 pm. Kept my power bill almost the same even running the washer and dryer on the weekend. And we had that cold spell during this last bill!
  14. There are some seriously good youngsters out there. The little girl on brass, and all those Europeans with the strings!
  15. Oh heck, got them mixed up with somebody you did that to the other year! OT... and I'll get back to my Eddie Jobson listen!
  16. Looks like I'm a Virginian now. Got the vehicle, license and insurance stuff started yesterday. Tags came home with me, yes it's two. They have a front and a back here that I haven't seen since the mid 70s before I got my first car in 1979. Think I saw that front plate holder in the shed the other day. Dave... I did get out of having to pay taxes! With the proof that I paid when I got it last summer. Man, it's windy up here, 40 mph easy with 40 degrees makes it chilly again. Rained heavily last night and when the sun was out good at 7am even the gravel & leaves were dried off by the wind!
  17. George... wow gRoWn Up$ in charge huh? Dang Dave wish I could rake in the easy money like that! No experimental drugs, just that simple eye test with the puff of air? Think they love you for all the bratwurst you take them!
  18. True but Bryan couldn't fill the empty shoes that were left down under Left something for you in the yt thread!
  19. Just in case @Klipsch104db doesn't have it yet! And because i wanted to hear it again too!
  20. Hiya @Klipsch104db like your setup that you exposed here a lot lately! That record? Couldn't decide if it as their best after it came out. In the long run decided that "Powerage" was still their greatest!!

    The Other Discs

Still listening to some classics, and time to get back "at it" won't be until Monday morning.
  22. Nice, Dave. I'll see that and raise ya an hour or so of WOW!
  23. Yes sir, with sensitive equipment from the cartridge all the way through our Klipsch. We've got to be able to handle the truth!
