😆I didn't hear about that until decades later.

    The Other Discs

These guys; if you got a chance to see them before they were headliners here in the states. Wow, guess I use that word a lot, it beats cussing all the time though. The high levels of toxic Alpha masculinity on and off the stage was apparent to anyone over the age of 14. They beat the cr&p out of every instrument they had and made it very hard on whoever was headlining the show, to appear to be the headliner. Don't think it's called heavy metal anymore, that station on the tv sounds like thrash rock only. JP went a little spacey or dare I say had a theatric/progressive tilt to some tunes. Might be a re-post for me, sorry I need a little JP every now and then and this disc does it for me! "Cheater" has a special place in my heart several bands do a song about that bad other half, JP does it well!
  3. https://critesspeakers.com/ http://www.alkeng.com/klipsch Those are the two entities and guys most frequently talked about that I've seen when refurbishing is needed. Other places if drivers need to be replaced are around too. I'd say read through this and see if grabs you @ClaudeJ1 has done amazing work on the Heresy. haven't looked at his Cornwall thread in a while but that could be for you!
  4. You're a bad influence to hit an addict when they're out of the good stuff Even though I have some on order. Gotta figure out how to get into ebay since I changed isps last year and have a new "E"!
  5. That's a darn good price for the real mccoy Carl, sure that you know that. Thank You for the link! Also peaberry is the prime of any type of a crop. *Brunswick, GA that's right after I hook a right for the I-95 stretch of the trip to the Cape "Caution: Smoke-Fog"
  6. Skimmed it, and it looks like it wasn't Klipsch that hurt their bottom line.
  7. That's why you have to be careful who you listen too! Since the dumbing-down started that is the case here they show 90 as "very hot" in the pictorial diagrams, then they get the info from over 100 miles away at GSP. Lots of northerners moved here in the late 70s. Seems the weather people are all yankees now! I saw a kid I mean young and looked like he was in good shape have a heatstroke in Boston back in `96 when it was 85 degrees in late June there. Those same weather... go hysterical when a thunderstorm builds up over the river, or flurries get reported. Before they tell us a twister is coming my phone goes off... my uncle still flies (ex-Army Air Force) for the Civil Air Patrol he'll call every time and tell us to take cover because he already knows about it and he is 130 miles the other direction from us towards VA. Like @CECAA850 states the closer the temp and humidity get to each other above say 88 the more hard it is to breathe. It's like it doesn't give you what you need when you inhale. Outside a lot last week `cause stuff in the yard had to be done while it was dry, and our local weather underground stations were reporting 97 to 100 in most of them it was hot `cause I'm out of shape now, thing is the sweating, the sore back and sleeping better from being drained makes me feel great the last couple of days. Bought some beans from amazon... they ripped me off...two stickers over the roast date on the stale juan valdez cumbre. Went cheap this time, bad choice. Beans are my most important necessity. Ordered from Belux again this morning after I poured mine down the drain. If I'm lucky Atl to here will be the next day once again!
  8. Wow, and you're in AZ @WillyBob! We broke 100 a week ago and three times since, including today an hour or two ago. But I'm in the ac today, yard trash cans are full no more outside work until tomorrow after they get emptied. More rain than ever the last year but the clay is cracking already.
  9. And there is only one being that can do that. If you've been near one (or three) in your life like me and your alive it can change your perspective.
  10. Same thing happens here, at most I'd put a tsp of sugar in a qt of coffee ( I do make chocolate coffee when it's cold sometimes). She'll put that International Harvester syrupy stuff from a test tube in the cup and pour coffee on top even when it was these very good $$ honey process beans that I took the effort to grind more coarse make it manually in the Eva Solo. Yep an oz of four roses single over a cube is my poison of choice, since I don't get drunk anymore!
  11. Just got an "E" from them: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714RTP51/Klipsch-Reference-Theater-Pack.html?omnews=1 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714RP8000E/Klipsch-Reference-Premiere-RP-8000F-Ebony.html?omnews=1 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714R112SW/Klipsch-Reference-R-112SW.html?omnews=1
  12. Not astounding musically but if you got a chance to see these guys in the mid to late..... you know the decade I always mention, the 1970s you would not have forgotten it. Played the crowd almost as good as some of the big time groups could. Good ol midwestern rock before they went top40 and got new fans.
  13. These buds can seriously rock. Wanted to put "Dope Fiend" up but that must be offensive when I see all that comes up when I try to get it. It is track #13 and highly pertinent to @Full Range s last post. Well H$lls Bells I found it there, says there are only twelve tracks, one is grayed out so maybe it's 12 here in the Oppressed West!
  14. Good to know it didn't get you!
  15. Paul I listened to it so much back in my herbal 70s that I don't want to... but him and his colleagues were all great musicians!
  16. That's what I was talking about!
  17. Let's just say the Syracuse Football ------men. He mentions things like that a lot here, I can't touch it `cause I don't do it negatively.
  18. I do not doubt that @oldtimer The little ones I talked about, our Allstate guy said they declared a minor state of emergency here. Thousands of roofs, tens of thousands of cars destroyed.
  19. Softball?? That's scary even if it's straight down.
  20. You ever been near one? @oldtimer the hair on my arms standing up, ears popping temp dropped fifteen to twenty degrees in an instant, hail as big as cue balls hurling down...I mean shot down... not just falling, and that f'n ROAR... that you can feel too! I'm only here because it remained a funnel cloud. Wrath of God can't be bartered with.
  21. Can you imagine how much the residents enjoy that! having to be there all the time... "better to burn out than fade away" sounds about right... but selfish too.
  22. It's been a pretty violent spring already, hope none of you all have any of it near you.
  23. That's not far from a big-un moving 50mph through the flat mid-west fields.
  24. Snare drum - check Marching rythym - not really
