I found a company that made a product that exceeded the expectations I had for it once it was up and running. More clean and articulate than that newer Natural Sound compared to my early 90s made in Japan "RX-1100" I had for years. Warmth akin to the Nakamichi/Nelson Pass STASIS SR-3A I had for a while too. The www interfered with my shopping for a new rig at this point. Spent many hours looking at SS prior to enjoying tubes + Klipsch at all. Found Cambridge Audio and the CX-80 isn't a CX-60 with 20 more watts, it is a totally different amp inside. Noted by reviewers back then. They're old now. If I had $7k to blow and could use their trial run, I can only imagine how good the instrumental separation and the power reserve for those big musical crescendos is like in their flagship line. https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/usa/en/products/hi-fi/edge/edge-a

Always amazed me how Klipsch could reproduce that "sound signature" all nuances included not only when given some wattage to work with but when turned down low also. First heard a pair of K-Horns from the Boston Garden's old system back in the late 70s one at each end of a small place with a low wattage (20wpc) receiver. DSOTM! The dynamics of any great old Floyd LP works, acoustic Heart with Ann & Nancy in their mid 70s prime! Got any David Sanborn with him on an alto? Or Jeff Beck's "There & Back" from front to back like the Floyd. Steely Dan's Aja was what the good stereo stores kept a copy of to demo on their $$$ equipment back then.

I've always had "seasonal allergies" which I understand is just issues with the environment... or what's in the air. Not sure if that darned ragweed is up here, but I'm sure something will tweak my sinus. Took another turn with the stones, ejected more. Less to deal with later on I guess. @geezin' I always like the smell of Spruce Christmas Trees, they were the best for that!

The "lot" pictures looked a lot like that where I was looking. Well he can't change what they did in the past either! From NC, TN, GA, VA, KY, WV. Either trees or rocks, I don't have evergreens to speak of now, hope I can remedy that this autumn.

Good question about the stucco. I've got plaster walls in my new place but not my stereo and don't count my RP-600M2s. I'm positive about the wood though, the place I grew up in had pine walls in the big room and my Klipsch sang in there like no other place they had ever been! Could have been the vaulted 17' ceiling also not sure.

Congrats, all that I've read about those says they're great! I had so much fun with my H2's over the years. With their size and output, placement positions are almost endless. You'll probably spend months messing with them to hear different nuances to you favorite recordings. Just start with the manual's advice and go from there. If you have 1/4 or thicker wood walls that will be awesome. Try corners on the floor, adjusting differences between the back and side walls. Obstructions Matter! etc... & you just stepped into our rabbit hole with your eyes wide open

That's funny. Appreciate your concern @Klipsch104db! it was pulled out to move it Floor's new, the house is new to me, and I used to paint for a living! They're possibly drying now one for the last wall behind the pc.. other back in the box.

2nd coat's going up finally. "Stuff" "blues" over being kept by threat from 85% of my belongings. & that stone the last month have kept me from it. Throwing down with the Benny Moore today and that re-released "Song Remains the Same" full concert now recording! the cd cover emulates the original release but not what is on the cd's! If you heard it back then you will recognize this release has more tunes in it!

I'm bored and it's chilly in here this morning. The coffee helps! 30s tomorrow am? Gut is more comfortable today. Think I'll second coat the walls in there finally before the desk comes and I put the 55" Samsung on it! It's a real 120hz display, not marketing-speak. Last of the 1080i's at BJ's after the 4K TVs came out! The depth of the desk will make this better than that big monitor attempt a couple years ago.
