OK; my all time favorite (after Beethoven's 9th). All Along the Watchtower. Might be wrong but think it is the song played by most (reputable) musicians Here's a couple of versions ... of course "Jimi" is first
-
@Subway ... haha; never heard Genesis, Illegal Alien before. Awesome Here is one of my Genesis favorites; Jesus He Knows Me
-
OK; classic George Harrison, Clapton, Elton John, Phil Collins, etc ... While my guitar gently weeps ...
-
Was posting some Santana links in a different post and saw this one - which I have not heard for ages Thought you might like it
-
Yes, "obviously." Don't even think I could have fooled you with an old Dutch band such as "cuby+blizzards." Actually, this clip with Gato Barbieri on sax is much better
-
Haha Here's two of my favorites; Europa and Samba Pa Ti ... @jubilee333 ... play these
-
Actually I am in St. Petersburg (Tampa) and don't visit Miami too often Funny you mention Miami; my wife used to work there (many years ago) and at least once a month she tells me she went to Monty Trainer's there ... and a gentleman from the crowd asked to jam with the band ... it was CARLOS SANTANA Yes; electronic is my second favorite to hip hop
-
Yo, brotha ... no; ONE minute was all I could stomach

OK @jubilee333, after you've checked out the above ones from @MicroMara, I'd like you to test your speakers with the following ... haha, I did listen (OK; 1 minute) to your hip-hop 1812 Overture ... just play the last minute Next, Ode to Joy (Beethoven's 9th finale), done by 10,000 Japanese Note, when you play this from your PC to your Kenwood the sound will not be "great." (Because the digital to analog converter, or DAC, from your PC is low quality. You may want to invest in an external DAC. (PC USB to DAC to Kenwood.) Almost bought this one last month for $100 https://offerup.com/item/detail/1072457694?q=topping+dac Cheers, Emile

Haha, blu-ray in black & white. Great 1964 movie

You can start with a miniDSP 2x4HD for about $200. Note; do NOT get the cheaper basic miniDSP - too much distortion. Then, move up to a Xilica 2040/4080/etc. depending on how many in/outs you need. (Picked up a new 2040 a couple of months ago for about $650.) Note; Xilica no longer makes these units, but the will provide tech support.

Haha; thanks for the warning. Yes, played the first minute of this. And they label this as music??? Going to play Tschaikowsky's 1st violin concerto (at 110dB's) to get this out of my mind
-
Congrats! Glad you got the Kenwood also. Not familiar with this model, but the (better) Kenwood's from this era are much underrated.
-
Haha; CL listing deleted by author ... guess she bought the 4.2's ... not sure if she got the Kenwood amp also
-
Haha; never saw it because I looked at "my" link. Same seller; he has listed the 4.2's separately for $300 and with the amp for $500
-
OK; I'm lost ... does "she" have a Kenwood or??
-
@jubilee333 Great! If the 4.2's are not in great shape, pick up the 4.5's. FYI, they are basically the same speaker. Note that the 4.2 shows "two" woofers, but it really is only "one." The other one is a "passive" woofer without a voice coil. In the 4.5 they replaced the passive with a port (haha; "hole").

CraigsList https://orlando.craigslist.org/ele/d/orlando-klipsch-kp-pair/7392199253.html . Pretty interesting, but note that grilles need recovering. Not affiliated
-
Go get them before they are "gone." Either ones would be perfect. The extra $200 for the 4.5's maybe worth it because they have titanium tweeters (new about $60/pr) ,new crossovers ($200?) and are "pristine." Opening a bottle of wine to celebrate Cheers! Add-on ... pretty sure this guy takes care of his equipment. Note there is a reel to reel in the pic
-
@billybob Haha, just found those also Sounds like a winner ... go get them @jubilee333 Make sure to "audition" them
-
LaScalas require an amp for themselves. They just do not have much bass, so most people add a subwoofer. Subwoofers require a lot of power to drive - say 1000W for a 15 inch sub. Most subs do have build-in amps (that's the "second" amp I referred to). Many can be found on the internet for less than $500. (And, suggest you stay away from Klipsch subs - they are NOT very reliable with inferior chinese amps )

@jubilee333Re above ... KG's are very good, but more an introductory speaker than Heresies. As per @AndreG."The KGs will have more bass, the Heresies will have more finesse and detail. For what You want, the KGs are better suited, IMO." They are less refined but probably better suited for your purpose - and less expensive I started with new Cornwalls about 30 years ago and have added KG's, etc etc. My KG4.2's were really great. PM me a link to the ones you found and I'll give you my opinion. For in home DJ parties they may be your best option And, you are welcome to check out my speakers. But ... only have Heresies and much LARGER speakers ... really cannot give you a comparison And if you take me up on my offer DO NOT bring any hip hop Cheers, Emile Re my opinion on the Forte's ... had a set and tried to combine them with (pro) K-510/K691 horns. Never got it to work ... the Forte's were just anemic in that combination.
