  1. Haha ... make sure these are "free." Already paid for the cabinets.
  2. Haha, yes, be careful. Still down "5 pair of Khorns" as a result of Facebook "tanking." Cheers, Emile
  3. Haha ... decent market day Good enough to buy a single Khorn, but I'm just too cheap - plus I love my KPT-904's Hope @Westcoastdrums made some $$ today
  4. @teaman ... awesome posting ... thanks! Who are these guys?? Click on their "store listings" and you can find 2000 Klipsch products.
  5. OK; went to "Simply Speakers" and picked up a diaphragm for one of the dead horns ... $40. They also examined the ripped woofer ... they recommended a 2-part epoxy since it is an aluminum cone but indicated a 50/50 success rate (think @Westcoastdrums thought super glue might work ... thanks, but won't work) Hopefully I can use Teaman's woofers
  6. Blasphemy Just kidding Carl. Got some 6.5 inch woofers coming from Teaman ... with the RF3 8 inch woofers, think I can try a "mix and match." Thanks for your help Cheers, Emile
  7. Hi YK; no, not yet Cannot use the 8" RF3 woofer in the front motor board ... so; thought I would use the RF3 xovers (has Woofer "1" and "2") to put one 6.5" SB3 woofer and the RF3 horn "up front," and use the other RF3 woofer on the "bottom." Maybe I'm crazy? Thanks, Emile
  8. OK; did not saw any holes for the speakers yet. Got RF-3's from a member but they were "crap." @teaman is sending me another pair of SB-3's to try. But ... next problem Thought it would be easy to put a TT in this thing But have only 350mm of depth ... most TT's are 360+mm. Any suggestions? Haha; found an "Ion" turntable that will fit ... $50 retail ... don't even think I want to try that Cheers, Emile
  9. Hi Sarah ... where are you located? No real clue on their value ... best guess is $800-1500 depending on condition, etc. Cheers, Emile
  10. Haha ... did my time in California 2 years; build the Apple MacIntosh plant in Freemont. Was partially paid in Apple stock ... sold it for $5/sh when it went down the drain ... Jeez ... $218 today Moved "east" and love it Cheers, Emile
  11. Couldnot resist ... @Westcoastdrums .... here is a picture of my "yacht"
  12. Haha ... yes; were "OK." But; guess I am just cheap because I buy used Klipsch stuff and vintage electronics. My wife drinks $25 bottles of wine ... I "consume" $10 Mondavi wine (1.5 liters) ... OK; I drink a lot more And yes; your are welcome to (our good) wine, single malt Scotch, etc ... Jeez; 5pm ... time to open a bottle. Cheers, Emile
  13. Haha ... used a lot of different "money managers" in the past. "They" made money ... me "not much." So; have managed it myself for the last year +. I'm an absolute GENIUS OK; any MORON would have made money
  14. "You da man!" Of course I am "bad," so just wait till I get your stuff
  15. Haha ... the wife and I are "split" on this one ... but POTUS has been very good for our investments Add-on .... OOPS; SORRY
  16. Haha ... yes, it's like a bad movie. And of course I am the bad guy. Oh well; $200 down the drain ... don't really care ... luckily made 70 times that in the market today ... so it's a 15 minute loss Just annoyed since it "delayed" my project. But @teaman saved me ... he's shipping me some more speakers. Cheers, Emile
  17. You'll regret it Seriously ... have a set of these KPT-904's with horns in a similar cabinet. Absolutely the best sound ever! Your wife may not like the red horns
  18. Thanks! Yes; pretty sure that will work ... just want to be sure the "rip" doesn't get any bigger But ... @teaman is sending me the horns/woofers from bookshelf SB3 speakers. About the same xo frequency .. maybe I can "mix and match." Haha ... one RF3 horn, one RF3 woofer and one SB3 woofer.
  19. Haha, Awesome idea! But, still struggling with my box ... will keep you updated Regards, Emile
  20. Haha ... thanks! Yes, that was my original thought But, as we try to do it we're running into minor problems (BTW think your sketch looked pretty good ) Problem is the motor-board(about 7" tall) is attached to the front "slats." If I remove it I will never be able to get it back together So, was going to put a horn on this board and put the double 8" woofers on the bottom. Might work on "this" side, but the "other" side is much smaller ... horn will not align with dual woofers. So; thought about "just one woofer." Thanks a lot, Emile
  21. Just got some RF-3 from a member ... OK; just the horns, woofers and crossovers. Trying to put them in a vintage stereo cabinet, but have some space constraints - plus one of the woofers is ripped Anyone has any clue how "bad" it would be just to run with "one" woofer per side. Woofers are 8 ohms and crossover has woofer "1" and "2" ... so no problem there (i think). Many thanks, Emile
  22. Be glad you didn't! Horn bad, woofer ripped and crossovers bad. Minimum $150 to fix ... probably $270 Seller gave me $20 back and "sorry ... everything worked as it should have." Oh well ....
  23. @Nositri ... GREAT! Had the tubes marked so it would be easier, but sure you have to reset the bias anyhow. PS ... headphone tubes are in the champagne bottle cooler covers ... apologize for taking the bottles "out." Cheers, Emile
  24. Thanks @HDBRbuilder ... good idea ... but haven't gotten the receiver yet ... yikes; these CL people are just Console was a high fidelity stereo one. Haha ... pouring a glass of wine before I saw some speaker holes in it Cheers, Emile
  25. He will be missed ... they don't make them like that anymore
