IMO, too often anything with dust on it is declared to be museum worthy, but not in this case. Those really do deserve to reside in a museum.
In any case, best of luck. I’m glad you found them rather than someone who would toss them in a dumpster.

You may decide that the additional cost of AL5s, whether new or used, is not justified by sonic improvements. I look forward to following the reports of your journey.

#4 Penn State at #3 Iowa Saturday at 4pm Eastern. I’ll record that so I can watch it compressed and at my convenience.
#8 Michigan travels to Lincoln to play Nebraska. The Wolverines will be favored—probably excessively so. If they’re not prepared, it could be a trap and they could suffer a case of Frost bite.

The Wolverines certainly ruined Barry Alvarez Day in Madison.
I very much enjoyed Cincy’s defeat of ND. Have I mentioned how much I dislike Brian Kelly?
The Spartans should ban the coaches from the locker room at halftime. Two weeks in a row, against Nebraska and Western Kentucky, MSU has clung to victory despite wilting in the second halves.

The Badgers are 1 1/2 favorites tomorrow over the weasels.

I expected Nebraska to do better under Frost. But it has not come to be; still too many unnecessary mistakes. If the Huskers fail to earn a bowl bid there will probably be an early Frost . . . exit in Lincoln.

I have a friend who raves about his Eargos. I was close to giving them a try as you risk only ~$100 if you return them, but the pandemic aborted that plan.
I’ll follow this closely with interest.

If I were a rich man with a mansion/big rooms, I would have BOTH all horn systems (Jubilees) and Open Baffle speakers
Claude,
Have you ever heard Quad ESL, or other electrostatic speakers in a good setup? I assume you have. I first heard a pair in an audio shop in Cambridge, MA in the 70s.
I was so impressed I started accumulating the bits needed to build a pair of electrostatics from an article in The Audio Amateur or, possibly, Speaker Builder. Of course life got in the way and the project died a slow death.
I agree completely about the big spaces in which we’ll heeled audiophiles will place Jubilees, I.e., the need for 360 finishing.

An older Onkyo AVR quit totally. The sound of my Wiener TPA3118 class D was a distinct difference from the silent Onkyo.

I like the pun. In Chalmette, LA the rabble tended to be rebels.

My Spartans scared me before beating the Huskers 23 to 20 in OT. Next week the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky.
Dave’s @Dave1291 Buckeyes came from behind to beat Zips . . . 59-7.

They look great. Do you notice much difference in the sound when the drapes are closed, versus open as in the photo?
