  8. it's a sunny and ... well, sunny day. Weather is still Murphy dictated. Below normal temp. got nothin' near as exciting as running wires today. Wife is sleeping and not feeling well. Spose I will be next. She blames it one her kids, at school. I tend toward a combination of exposure and the stress of the hours she puts in...

  12. you are thinking new age Dr. ADHD and ADD weren't treated when we were kids. That was chalked up to normal boy behavior I fall into Vasubatu's category ... a bit on the ADD side

  15. the males [on both side] in my family had heart problems... I may defy convention. I still have a full head of hair 30 year later than most of them lost theirs. I have to show my wife what I did. Especially if it is outside. She sees me sitting, drinking coffee and gives me one of those looks...
  16. you do have a leg up on some folk ... you like music. mind and body are connected and a healthy amt is exercise keeps your head good, too. wife is a teacher. K-4. try to keep them focused w/o running some of that energy off
  17. biggest problem with eating healthy is the scientific community keeps changing their bloody mind on what is good. Butter, eggs, coffee, alcohol .... Moderation is key.
  18. Diz, that sounds like a large scale of what we are doing. Bought a place built early/mid 60's. Material came from a recycled railroad station. Pull wiring throughout., Insulate. When we pulled the wall coverings for electric --- surprise! None is better than asbestos, sorta. Found redwood under 1/4 paneling I agree, to a point, Jeff. There is a certain amt of genetic luck, too. My BIL was always the most health aware member of my family. Eating organic. Exercising, non-smoker/drinker. Outdoors type. a Dr. Passed of pancreatic at 52 a low stress lifestyle is very important, I believe. Enjoy what you do. and yes, do exercise. I used to row a boat for several hours, once a week on top of having a job that did involve a certain amt physical activity. My day at the bowling alley started with a half mile walk on the [oily] lanes. Running "stops" on the machines meant climbing up and down. Not a sedentary job. Mental, too. We had to do a lot of troubleshooting.
  19. A lot of you are up on things.... been noodling on enhancing passive solar heating [since I don't come up with many original ideas] can you get paint that turns dark when it is cold and light when it is warm?
  20. I "teased" myself with a pair of R15M. The RB5 II is similar with the titanium horn and Ceramitallic woofer, correct? I can imagine they are nice. The entry level offerings are pretty nice. Beyond my expectations

  23. I have a weight problem, too. It the opposite of most of yours. The only, for sure, way that I can gain weight, is to grow my hair/beard. Lookin' a bit like JerryGarcia, now.... and told my sisters I won't cut it until I see them.. They wanna see it
