  1. Sorry folks. I nabbed this set. Will be doing a loooong road trip to pick them up this weekend. Got the center and surrounds to replace the ones I have with finishes that don't match the rest of the Natural speakers in my system. Getting the Palladium sub was a good bonus. I'll be selling the Merlot center and Espresso surrounds soon. These speakers also have an interesting backstory. I'll relay that once I have them in hand.
  2. Yeah, I was contemplating replacing the rear heights with P-17Bs like I did the fronts but I need to find another pair of Natural. Not sure if I want to try to hang one over my head though for the top surround. 🙂
  3. What finish are you looking for? There are some "new in box" Espresso ones on eBay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273457786243.
  4. Perhaps he does. Mine are all in one system. - P-37F L&R, P-27C center, P-27S side surrounds, P-17B rear surrounds, P-17B front heights. Rear heights and top surround (aka Voice of God channel) are AW-650 (not Palladium). The subs are also not Palladium.
  5. I'll have to check my 16 when I get home from my business trip. 😁
  6. Oh, I got the Heresy reference. Just missed the rest as sarcasm. 🙂 Also, I wasn't disparaging the Chorus II at all. As I said I own a pair myself. Great speakers, the best of the "Forte Family" (Forte, Chorus, Quartet). I think the Chorus II and the KLF-30 are very close in performance. I could be happy with either one. Just my preference is a slight nod to the KLF-30.
  7. It's not heresy, it's just my opinion. No need to be insulting. Not everyone likes the same thing. I did evaluate the Epic series for a while with good source material. During the '80s and '90s I was on a first name basis with the local Klipsch dealer, having purchased several pairs of Klipsch, other equipment, and many audiophile discs from them. He used to let me take over the showrooms as long as he didn't have to use them with customers. So I spent a bunch of time listening when the Epic series came out (mostly the CF-4 but I sampled the other models too). The CF-4 had great bass and a good top end but I didn't find the mid-range as satisfying as the 3-way Klipsch. The Klipsch speaker models with horn coverage of the entire mid-range sound more open and natural to me. Also, have you even heard the Palladium series?
  8. I heard the all the Epic (CF) series when they came out. I wasn't a fan of these (or really any Klipsch consumer 2-way speakers), so I won't comment any more on those. However, I own a pair each of P-37F, KLF-30, and Chorus II. All those are great speakers. I think which you prefer will depend on what sound qualities are important to you. If you will be running without a sub, then KLF-30 and Chorus II might be a good fit because they have better bass extension. I give the KLF-30s a slight nod over the Chorus II because I think they have less mid-range horn coloration. However, my favorite is the Palladium P-37F. Literally everything is better, smoother, more refined without sacrificing anything except bass extension. The midrange is more open and dynamic. The imaging is amazingly precise. I was playing to the second track (I'm Confessin') from the 30th Anniversary SACD release of Jazz at the Pawnshop and I could close my eyes and “see” precisely where the quiet background conversations in the Stampen were located before and during the performance. One word… Goosebumps. The best way I can describe them is like they are the children of Klipsch and B&W parents. They have refinement/intimacy like B&Ws but with Klipsch-like dynamics. Surprisingly, the mid-bass “punch” of these speakers is better than the KLFs despite the fact that the KLFs have more bass driver area than the Palladiums. The clincher for me are the tweeters in the Palladiums. Those tweeters are the smoothest, most extended, and just plain magical Klipsch tweeters I’ve ever heard.
  9. wstrickland1 - Thanks for the warning. I have not had any issues so far with the Monster Flex Pin connectors and I only hand tighten them. Don - There are no caps on the Palladium binding posts. They have a hex hole in the center for tightening with a hex wrench. This hex hole does not accommodate the banana plugs that I have. See the attached picture.
  10. Teaman, that list of equipment looks familiar. Is that Tim?
  11. Hi All. These are no longer available. I picked them up on Sunday. Luckily, since I did local pickup he came down to a more reasonable price. 🙂
  12. Sorry to have snagged these from you, K5SS. After a buddy sold me his P-37Fs last summer I got the Palladium bug. I'm trying to replace the 7 ground level channels of my system with Palladiums. I grabbed this pair and the ones listed on US Audio Mart from Brooklyn (listed in another forum post) to be the surround channels. Now I have to find a P-27C to complete the setup. I'm a long time Klipsch fan (first pair purchased in 1984) but have not joined the forums until now.
  13. Hi All, Newbie to the forums. Long time Klipsch fan (purchased first pair in 1984) but didn't know about the forums. Found out about them in the various Klipsch Facebook groups. To get to the point... I recently bought some used Palladium speakers (P-37Fs and P-17Bs). The center hole in the binding post only seems sized to accommodate the hex wrench that comes with the speakers. The banana plugs I have do not fit in them. Are the Palladiums not designed for banana plugs or are there smaller ones that will work with them. For now, I'm using some Monster Flex Pin connectors. Those work well enough but I'd prefer to use banana plugs. Thanks.
