  1. I’ve just recently turned my eye towards the Parasound Hint P6 or something like that. Seems to check all the boxes for me. What do you all think? It’s an American company but sadly not made in the states.
  2. Absolutely! 😩 I almost don't even want to find what I'm looking for, cause then what would I have to look forward to? Sitting back and enjoying music? Pffff, stupid music, all it's good for is for listening to my gear!
  3. Yep, which is kinda what has me being hesitant. Thought I had my mind made up on Freya+ and 2 Aegirs. But I don’t wanna buy Aegirs if they’re about to drop something newer and better. Then I started looking at and considering integrateds, just for the simplification. I’ve definitely given the Rag 2 a few looks! I kinda just want something….fancier though I guess haha. I know…it’s sad.
  4. Good to hear brother. I still don't know what the hell I want to get for my CWIVs....basically back to square one. I've been shopping integrateds lately. I still want American though so it's been tough. Looked at MAC5200 or whatever it's called, but the Rotel 1592MKII has my eye now, even though not American, still check all my boxes.
  5. Haha ok not quite that kind of money. I'm thinking more along the line of $3k-3500 all in. But I'd be lying if I said I haven't been looking at the Mc page here lately lol. I do want American made (assembled) electronics. Which is why I've been looking at Schiit so closely. I thought I had my mind made up until it came to my attention that they have a new and more powerful class A monoblock amp on the way (Tyr). So now I'm kinda waiting on that to be officially revealed. I do want a Freya+ pre though.
  6. I'm very skeptical of amps and DACs and the differences audiophiles say they hear in them... I'm powering a pair of Cornwall IVs with a $700 Best Buy Onkyo A/V receiver. It sounds fantastic. But all that said, I've got money to burn and I too will be joining the expectation bias club here soon with all new electronics. Still am on the fence about an integrated or monoblocks or what. Part of me wants to pick up a $2k-ish integrated and call it a day. But then I'll always have that "what if" feeling if I don't get something class A...
  7. Hey we love the pictures, keep them coming! A lot of people put their Heresy's on speaker stands and seem to prefer it!
  8. What DB range is your preferred listening experience? I'm usually hanging out around 95db peaks but I have measured up to 105db peaks in my room before, when I was drinking lol.
  9. Yes this is true, I had to play around with positioning, distance and toe-in quite a bit to keep my CWIVs from shouting at me in the mids. But boy did I find the sweet spot now! I've gone through quite a few placements to get these things sounding good on a lot of modern rock music. Classic rock sounds good on these almost no matter where they are haha. Also classical and anything acoustic. Keep in mind I'm still using a mid-grade A/V receiver to power them, though I did bypass the internal DAC on the receiver. Which provided quite the gain in SQ. I'm strongly considering a Schiit stack of Freya+ pre and two Aegirs in dual mono. But I'm kinda leery now since some describe Schiit as cold and clinical. I want warm and lush electronics for these CWIVs....Already using a Schiit Modius DAC.
  10. Are you referring to replacing the tweeter completely? Is that a thing? I just got CWIVs in June...do people replace any of those drivers? Jesus how much is an upgraded driver on a $6K+ pair of loudspeakers lol. Or 3k+ in the case of the Heresys
  11. @Joecoulsonis that center channel a little too tall to go on top of the furniture? Meaning it blocks the TV a little bit? If not I'd have that thing resting on top! That's a really nice piece of furniture though!
  12. That's a hell of a piece! Where'd you get that? Price? What all is inside it?
  13. Ok so I just tried this for the first time and I agree! It also pushes that "new Cornwall smell" into the room a lot more. 👍
  14. Ahh yes another single man I see LMAO. Me too haha
  15. Are you talking about inside the speaker cabinet?
  16. I'm curious about it myself haha. My Onkyo A/V reciever TXNR757 already drives them to volumes I'll never reach and they sound a amazing. Yeah they're CWIVs. I did bypass the internal DAC of the Onkyo with a Schiit Modius though. I may end up with a Bifrost2 before it's over with.
  17. Ah ok that makes more sense to me. Thanks man. Thank you sir! One day!
  18. I have an Onkyo TXNR757. So all this depends on being able to utilize pre-outs in my AVR for the left and right mains? I mean I do intend to upgrade my AVR in the near future but not before I get all the Schiit gear. Until then I guess I’ll have to reach behind my speakers and plug in wires from the AVR when I want to watch a movie.
  19. Kinda lol I’m still confused as to how this would be wired up though…would it even be possible with my current A/V receiver which does not have pre-outs? I’m looking at a Freya+ for a preamp to feed two Aegirs in dual mono. The Freya+ does have HT bypass according to their literature. But that aside, I was under the impression that in order for an A/V receiver to process all the Atmos stuff it had to be fed a digital signal.
  20. So here’s what I ended up with! And it’s perfect. I’ll easily be able to fit the Freya+ where the center channel used to be and both Aegir monoblocks on each side of the center channels current position. Center channel also sounds much better now that I’ve taken it out of the cubby it was in. Thanks @billybob!
  21. Interesting...thank you sir! What does it mean by "no not ground one of them"....how would you even do that? I mean if you only use the top two red outputs how would you ground one of them?
  22. I have a question regarding running these Schiit amps in monoblock mode. Do you utilize both sets of binding posts on the amps when running them in mono? Or do you just run one wire pair to your speakers and use the jumpers on your speaker terminals?
  23. One thing I notice it doesn't have is an HDMI input/output. Can the P6 still passthrough Atmos, DTSX and all that jazz without HDMI passthrough?
