They passed a law in Alabama... when you get divorced you can still be cousins...

Carry me home to see my kin..........................................

I miss Alabama once again and I think it's a sin

Know y'all know labor day is a day of rest.

Take the day off on me...enjoy an Iced Tea like me now.

Hmm......On way home yesterday bought gallon of Milo’s Iced Tea as too lazy to make. First time I purchased. Made in AL with cane sugar, water and tea only according to label. Side note: at Italian Fest and ordered Italian Iced Tea. Mamma serving said it was iced tea with sweet vermouth-it ain’t bad.

Yowzer.....talk about ginger....makes a interesting drink mixed with gin. Yummmm

This is the cocktail thread, right?

Gin works! Up for a Moscow Mule? Dark & Stormy? I prefer the Mule.

A Moscow mule is a cocktail made with vodka, spicy ginger beer, and lime juice, garnished with a slice or wedge of lime. It is a type of buck, therefore sometimes called a vodka buck.

A Dark ’n’ Stormy is a highball cocktail made with dark rum and ginger beer served over ice and garnished with a slice of lime. Lime juice and simple syrup are also frequently added. The original Dark 'n' Stormy was made with Gosling Black Seal rum and Barritt's Ginger Beer.

  4. article: "........raises fresh questions about how well New Orleans and other coastal areas across Lousiana are prepared for natural disasters."

"Fresh questions"? As if above question never pondered prior to this hurricane. What gov contingencies are in place (if any) for attack or shut down of power grid, water supply, or emp attack.

This reminds me of 'something else' that recently occurred.
