Not sure how many of you are into this new thing Apple Music has… spatial audio with Dolby Atmos. It’s a cool experiment but maybe not the next revolution from stereo. after all we tried quadrophonic then there was qsound mixes(roger waters/sting/Madonna etc) then there was that short lived dvd audio 5.1 experiment probably missing a few experiments along the way is this just another attempt that will be forgotten in a few years?

Well, sorry to bother you guys because the seller of the KLF30 wouldn’t let me listen to them. So I went with the heresy v cornwalls and set up a quick a/b test and it was over before it’s started. It’s like getting that iPhone 4 and experiencing the Retina screen for the first time.

Thanks for the corrections guys. Probably should have taken the time to write that better. Would $1600 be a reasonable price to pay for a good condition pair these days?

I am considering getting one pair of KLF-30’s to replace my Heresy II’s and subs. What’s a ballpark price I should expect? What should I expect as far as sound changes? These were manufactured in Hope AR right?

I don’t listen to the radio at all. Haven’t for 20 years. Using Heresy ii’s. I do like subs with the heresies so perhaps going vintage is not a good idea.

Current have a 3380 but I am interested in picking up a 3490 or going vintage with the 730. What would you folks suggest regarding these options?

so which ones sound better? Cornwall v Heresy?

That little tube amp seems interesting. Is there a way I could use it and keep my subs running with the Hersies?

Just picked up some Heresy II’s. I am using a Harmon Kardon 3380 and 2 of those Pioneer Andrew Jones Subwoofers. I like the sound mostly. With certain songs I don’t feel like the bass is blending well with the speakers. Would a sealed sub work better? Might pick up a HK 3490 or vintage amp. Don’t probably have the cash for any tube amps that don’t say Vox or Fender on them. Do I need to be recapping these Heresies now? I do love the Heresy sound. Biggest complaint is that I wish they were not black.

it’s getting close to the end of October!

Went with neither. Wanted to try the Klipsch Heritage stuff out so listened to some Cornwalls and then some Heresy II’s. Came home with the Heresy II’s I don’t know if I am correct but it appears that the soundstage is much improved. I am running the Heresy’s with 2 subs.

Thanks, happy to be here. One is $799 cad and the other $1398 new at two different stores. Unfortunately can’t hear them side by side. the room has lofted ceilings. Sort of open concept with dining room and entry etc. So lots of space to deal with. using Harmon Kardon 3380 or Yamaha A-S501 depending if I want two subs. I might pick up a used 3490 to get a little more power.

The 8000’s are twice the price of the 82’s locally. I am looking for an upgrade from my 62ii. I seem to push them too hard.
