  1. rye bread might have yielded a totally different thing..
  2. My SIL bowled in the same tourney. ...wife visited her up there. It must be wrapping up soon. The results are due out sometime in July
  3. Phoenix is in the low desert ~ 1100ft. Lot more pavement and buildings and a certain amount of irrigation. I'm at 3700ft, in a cold air drainage, it is 5` warmer just up the hill.... in an "isolated" area.
  4. That's a typical overnight temp drop here. I count on it. We have no cooling in our house. We open the windows and doors at night and close the house up as soon as the temp is warmer out than in.... that would be shortly after sunrise. We might turn a fan on mid-afternoon. Phoenix ... well... a different story. w/o A/C, there is no life. It "cools down" to 90`.
  5. yep ... that low if you get wet, you can get a chill. One reason I don't swim here. we consider high R/H at 40%. .
  6. Good Morning Nothing exciting. Weather is seasonably warm. The AirForce was playing with the big toys last night. The C-120s/!30s and entourage were coming back from the bombing range well after dark. We live in one the AF's operational areas. Some folks complain about the sonic booms. Just a fact of life when you live near a SAC base. Anyway... I rather enjoy seeing the show. Plans for the day ... go to the dump. If the Olds will start. I don't drive it enough to keep the battery up. It's a beater ... but, I still like it. It's a very comfortable car. Reliable and gets 30MPG.
  7. we have one of those. Mackinac Island.
  8. I worked in Brunswick A-2s. Notice I said in.. .. They were pretty reliable, if you kept up on preventative maintenance.... and were handy with duct tape and cardboard Never worked in AMF machines. I was given the impression that they tended to be more reliable
  9. you set pins by hand? I tended machines. 50 year old machines. Four digit serial numbers, old. Back when the made stuff from cast iron. As long as we could get belts, bushings and bearings, these machines could be fixed.
  10. 1st day of summer ... and it feels like it. Turning up the heat. I'm seeing 110` forecast for Tucson, next week. R/H is still low... single digits perfect weather for making jerky or mummies I can see my "pool" getting some use. I should be doing things. If you're needing/wanting to be/work outside, this is the time. Light enough to see and temp is nice. I did a little construction work. We started and 5AM and knocked off at 1 PM. Going nocturnal prolly wouldn't be a bad idea
  11. I have a pair of RP600Ms in a similar size room, in a 2ch set up. They work good, For HT, you might want a sub.
  12. ..... after 25 years in "the pit" of bowling alleys, I'm surprised my hearing is still any good, at all. I could hear one machine, of 24, getting sick from the shop ... while the other 23 were running and No... we didn't wear hearing protection.... or steel toed shoes. We wore sneakers OSHA who????
  13. Did you sell the CW's back? LOL
  14. I was playing some music in the doghouse tonight. Discovered there is a cricket in there, too... The cricket was nice and quiet until I turned the music on. it turned into a little contest. I won.I drowned him out
  15. nothing remarkable about the weather here 96`F ... 8% R/H
  16. can someone subtitle or interpret the language for me? ... all I understand is "Thank you" at the very end
  17. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/ele/d/apache-junction-klipsch-palladium-p27s/7632660381.html $2500 No pics not affiliated
  18. comin; in from left field did you know?... in 1936 New York made going topless at the beach, legal.. for men it is, by random association, related to the boat/water/vacation theme
  19. me too. Only difference is, I don't get a paycheck.
  20. I'll change the subject... another revival concert comin' through Grand Funk Railroad. the big problem I have with revivals... vocals... they can still play the instruments fine. Voices age, and sometimes... not so gracefully
  21. LOL... I went to Tucson... it was 77` when I left.... I had to roll the windows up. It was too cold.
  22. HaHaHa I felt like I needed to sterilize the coffee maker and grinder after that stuff was put in it.
