You guys are all trippin! Buy an ultrasonic or VPI, clean the lp, spin the lp and settle in w/a cold one!
@KROCKwho's George? George has left the building OR he's way out in the tech/mod groups. I'm also *** U MEing you mean @MicroMara??? I'll check the time clock sometime to see when he's been around. Prolly kicked us to the curb! 😂 OR HE could be hunkered down w/DJune somewhere discussing "Playlist" tunes??? 😂 😂 😎
No way, I needed once again an online break. I am also still in the German-speaking forum online also. That is then sometimes just all too much for me. In addition, I had to finish cable orders again and had spent a lot of time in my free time listening to music, mainly the now modified Marantz SACD player, which now clearly plays better than ever before. It's a hell of a machine, I'm thrilled.
Some of my cables in new designs, done this week ...

lewis collaborated with earth wind and fire on this album
I even bought it as vinyl, unfortunately I have no information about the band members or producers yet. So I was pretty close with my association regarding Earth Wind & Fire.

^^^^ Think he's hangin in Vegas this winter somewhere so needed something new to play since every stinking show will be sold out...
You should know when to stop. I think he has long passed his peak. His best albums were the ones from the 1970s. Since then he became more and more commercial but never better.

As I said " Classics " You´ve done you job ....Where are you going to DJ soon? I borrow @001space shuttle and come just across the Atlantic . Should be fun....

@JohnJ I have a request ..can you perhaps add additional taggs to this thread, such as CD Player , CD Accessories . I think that this medium dying out because of streaming should find more attention.
Thanx ...

Did I ever told you that I´m using for sound improvement a magnetic field eraser for my CD`S ? It really works ...No snake oil
It´s a Furutech RD 2
Here are some measurements showing the results ......
First the signal before demagnetization is shown, error components come along with the 1kHz sinusoidal signal, which we interpret as noise or distortion components of magnetic fields. You can see there next to the 1KHz signal empty parts, sound degrading partscaused by read errors. The spreading of the errors suggests a poorer in and out oscillation behavior of the music. In addition, irregularities occur not only at 1KHz, but also in the range between 200-800Hz, which we also interpret as noise and distortion components.
After demagnetization, the noise next to the 1KHz signal has disappeared as well as the empty spots. The signal is now smooth and the noise components before demagnetization have almost completely disappeared. The signals in the other ranges are also more uniform and most of the interference in the 200~800Hz range has disappeared. From these experimental results, it can be concluded that the signal-to-noise ratio has improved significantly, and audible distortion is reduced. After demagnetization, the interference components are lower and the overall sound image is more cohesive from the bass to the high frequency range.
What leads to the magnetization of a DISC (CD) ?
The label print of a DISC contains chemical compositions, such as iron, Ni, and cobalt, which are strong magnetic materials that can be easily magnetized.
The read/write surface of a DISC contains 99% aluminum and 1% magnetic substances such as iron, Ni, and cobalt. By the way, aluminum is a paramagnetic material, which can also be easily affected by magnetism.
