  1. @dirtmudd & @Full Range I have something you don´t have ! If so ... why hasn't anyone played it yet ? It should be one of the first records of Genesis. Decca Label, 1968 & 1969. 4 songs still produced in mono.I found this album today in a sec. hand record store. L O L It´s marvelous. It´s in first class condition without a crack. Just listening to the record right now....... Side I Where the sour turns to sweet ( Mono ) In the Beginning ( Mono ) Fireside Song The Serpent Am I very wrong In the Wilderness Side II The Conqueror In Hiding Window In Limbo Silent Sun ( Mono ) A Place to call my own ( Mono )
  2. Since records washing machines and ultrasonic record systems are too expensive , I make by hand......... I´m a carefully driver but sometimes I discover records that are quite dirty. Since I am neither a record cleaning machine with fluids I have owned an ultrasonic record machine and have been doing it my way for years. For this I need the following tools : 1 cotton towel, 1 roll of soft absorbent paper towels,1 bottle of glass cleaner (e.g. for the windows of windows or cars with less than 5 % anionic tensides and ethyl alcohol) 1 soft sponge ( without the bob LOL ) and a microfiber tissue with nano particles. Oh ...and a delicious Latte Machiato is also part of it . First I put the record on the cotton towel and spray it with the glass cleaner, then I distribute the liquid evenly with the sponge, let it work for about 2 minutes. Once this is done, I remove the liquid with the soft paper towel and let the record dry a little. Finally I go with the micro fiber cloth circularly and with some pressure over the surface of the record. I have no comparable knowledge about the effectiveness of record cleaning with a machine, but I have found that the efficiency of this application achieves very good results. Plates that crackled before no longer crackle. Even if I remove dust with the carbon brush when I put a plate on the table, I notice that the frictional resistance on the surface has been reduced considerably. This is also beneficial for the pick-up when scanning the record.

  18. The loudspeakers are correctly set up when the Loudspeaker as acoustical source can no longer be localized. This means that the stage front ,depth and width can be clearly located between the L's and even mixing effects can be heard to the left and right of the speakers. The singer always stands in front of the band, at least during studio productions or on the same level with the band. The solos of certain instruments must be clearly locatable and delimitable. The whole sound spectrum should be balanced at the listening position, from brilliance to sub, and should not have any emphasis in certain FQ spectra, except for the sonic virtues attributed to them, e.g. ... "especially strong bass " . But drums and the bass, the instruments themselves, never tend to hum. Two-channel stereo system: (valid for slimline floorstanding Speakers like e.g. Klipsch RF7´s, RF 82, RP 280F , RP 8000 and others not for Klipsch Heritage Line like Forte , CW , LaScala, KHorn ) Figure 1 shows a typical speaker arrangement for a two-channel stereo system.a good starting point would be to form an equilateral triangle of the speakers and your listening position.depending on the size of the room and the distribution arrangement of the furniture,it may be advisable to increase or decrease the distance between the listening position and the line between the two speakers, but maintain a center position with approximately equal distance to both speakers.this will ensure the best stereo effect.Turning the speakers far away from each other slightly inwards towards the listening position will still give a good stereo effect. Stereo placement for wide sound reinforcement : If you are primarily interested in hearing the sound from any position in the room, rather than just from a specific seating area, you can move the speakers on adjacent walls far apart to form a large "L", which does not produce a very good stereo effect, but gives you a room-filling, well-balanced sound. If you now draw an imaginary line from the center of the two horns, the axes meet behind the head. This also requires that the listening point (sofa, couch, or easy chair) in the back area must have at least 3 feet or more distance from the imaginary back wall. Accordingly, the sound absorbers, if still necessary, are to be positioned differently. YMTC
  19. @grasshopper ......we also have three national holidays in Germany that are celebrated in November. All Saints' Day The origin of the worship of saints can be traced back to the cult of martyrs. Martyrs, special people, church teachers and bishops were venerated. Pope Gregory IV ordered a feast for all saints in the 9th century, as it was impossible to assign a separate day to each saint. In the course of time a real cult of saints developed. Today, however, the original meaning of the festival is celebrated, namely to commemorate exemplary people. All Souls' Day On All Souls' Day the Catholics remember the deceased relatives. The festival can be traced back to an abbot of the Cluny monastery, who in 998 ordered a "deceased memorial day" for the deceased of the associated monasteries. To All Souls' Day belongs the custom that graves are decorated and consecrated by the priests. In addition, lanterns are set up, because an old folk belief says that in those days the souls of the deceased return to earth to find their resting place. Day of penance and prayer Reflection, critical life balance and reorientation are the focus of Protestant services on the Day of Repentance and Prayer. The day of remembrance is celebrated on the first Wednesday after the day of national mourning. The Day of Repentance and Prayer in Germany is a holiday of the Protestant Church that dates back to times of need. In the course of history, days of penance and prayer have repeatedly been scheduled for current events. In the face of emergencies and dangers, the entire population was called to repentance and prayer.
