I want to make a Chorus 2 center channel, and do not know if Klipsch carries bucking magnets for the drivers. Any place where I can get generic ones? Thanks in advance. I was thinking of maybe finding a single QUartet or Forte to use and making a box deep enough to get the magnet on the midrange as well.

"Upgrade" to the new model tweeter diaphragms that Klipsch sells.

I plan on building two subs for my Scalas. I've decided on the Tempest as a driver, but I haven't decided on how many to use. Should I build two single subs or two double subs? I plan to feed each box no less than 750wpc. I'm not worried about overkill, I will use 100% from time to time. So what do you think? 1500w to two Tempests enough for Scalas in a 30x20x10" room?

Good bass is never lame. You can have a good-sounding car stereo.

I have a chance to get two Snell sub-1800s for $800. Yes? No?

Ok, I'll be a bit more specific. Size isn't important to me (I have La Scalas, after all). I was figuring on about 500wpc, as I really do give my Scalas workouts occasionally. Two subs as big as my mains aren't objectionable to me. What I am looking for is retarded-loud subs in the 30+hz region.

http://www.adireaudio.com/diy/Drivers/Adire/maelstrom.htm Oooooh boy does that seem like a good match for my La Scalas. What do you think, a pair in some sealed boxes? Maybe a 1000wpc Crown to power them?

Sign me up for a pair. I love my La Scalas, but the cabinets are well, beat up.

Only use Klipsch replacement drivers and do not add additional ones. ------------------ Gabe '83 La Scala birch raw '93 Chorus II black '94 Forte II oak oil '93 kg3.2 oak oil KSW-15 Ksw-200 SW-8 -
No, it goes in, I cranked it and set it on its side, and the woofer bottoms out *inward* as in sucks in about an inch. No outward motion. I tried reversing the phase both with the switch and internally. ------------------ Gabe '83 La Scala birch raw '93 Chorus II black '94 Forte II oak oil '93 kg3.2 oak oil KSW-15 Ksw-200 SW-8

Try moving an inch back and forth 20 times per second and see how much noise you make. It's normal at those excursion levels. ------------------ Gabe '83 La Scala birch raw '93 Chorus II black '94 Forte II oak oil '93 kg3.2 oak oil KSW-15 Ksw-200 SW-8
