    CF-4s - $2700

Give it a bit, if inflation keeps going like it is, this price won't seem so bad!
  4. Excellent condition. 130 Watts RMS per channel, 330 watts bridged. Damping factor of 500. Built like a tank! Comes from a smoke and pet free home. I'm letting a lot of my equipment go due to growing family. Garage audition welcomed to verify that everything works perfectly. I can provide some tasty beverages while audition occurs. $400 Western Burbs of Chicago 60511 Local pick up preferred
  5. How about $250? This is a great little amp.
  6. Hello, I am interested. PM sent John
  7. Fact ^ Okay, sure, according to you. So what would you consider "Around much?" Sorry if I have a life...a beautiful wife and two wonderful daughters that I spend time with rather than constantly scouring a forum doing whatever you do.....obviously making the wold a better place with every keystroke right? Way to make a difference.
  8. What do you consider "much?" I'm not a newbie, nor am I some person who chooses to spend all day every day on a forum for speakers. I come here to learn from people and share my experiences. Isn't that what a forum is all about? If a product has strong or week points, why wouldn't it be okay to talk about them. The OP wasn't listing his items for sale, he was asking about pricing...two very different things.

This is the Paudio pht-409 horn from eBay that people on the forum buy and modify. The horn is an exact fit for many Klipsch speakers like the KLF 20/30, KG series, etc. I have an extra set that I never got around to using before the family came along. It has the center diffuser removed already. This was going to go into a second pair of KLF 20's I had, but I sold them before I got around to the project. (I also have the B&C DE 10-8 drivers that I was going to pair with these if you are interested) If you check my posts in the technical/modifications section, I showed step-by-step documentation on how to use the horn and driver together. 10. Excellent condition power cable. It came with an amplifier I purchased a while back and I don't need it. I priced it lower than anything I can find online. $75 I prefer local pickup. (60511 Western Burbs of Chicago) Shipping can be discussed, but it's pretty heavy and shipping isn't getting any cheaper!
  11. Both amps are now enjoying a new home.
  12. I'm sorry you didn't like what I wrote, but I didn't write it for you. And sometimes it helps to know why a product might not demand a high price tag to some people. So, if you didn't like what I wrote, then just roll your eyes. No need to make a big deal of it, especially if it wasn't you asking for information about products.
  13. Is the subwoofer in a forest?
  14. I can help you with the Monster 5100. I just purchased one this year, new in the box, for $165 shipped. Most have sold for $175-$250 on eBay around the Chicagoland area) By now, most people realized that these are pretty gimmicky, and the Monster marketing department did a very good job at convincing everyone one these were the ultimate answer to top notch audio/video filtering. I agree, they are great at starting up and shutting down the gear, however, I still hear small pops when my AC turns on...and all of my AV gear is plugged into the unit correctly. (This doesn't happen when I tried plugging in the amps and processor to my 6 outlet tripplite power strip from the 90's!) As far as the other gear goes, try going to eBay, entering the item, clicking on "sold items" or "Completed items" on the left-side menu, and see what they recently sold for in your area. Everyone likes to refer to ebay when they are selling something.... "Hey, this item is selling on ebay for $2,000!" Any person can list an item for any amount, but the key is to see what price point they are actually selling. I hope this helps.

Any interest before I lower the price I have it listed for locally?
  16. Good luck! You'll have to report back after you get it all figured out and let us know your impression. As far as 4k goes, it's not really a big deal for me either. Our eyes can't tell the difference between 1080 and 4K on a 70" screen when you're more than several feet away from the screen anyway! But hey, marketing is starting to push 8k!!! I just want my next processor semi future proof, or at least future proof to me. I want 7 speakers and 2-4 smaller subs (for a swarm sub system ) and the ability to use HDMI cables instead of a mix of HDMI, toslink, etc. I have no desire to keep up with the latest insanity of trends such as dolby atmos.... sure, it might be better, (definitely better for speaker/amp/processor sales!) and maybe when I build my retirement home I will build it into the room, but unless you want your room to look like a college dorm room, I'll keep my smaller system. Plus, most video content is not or rarely even 1080 from the most popular sources... Cable, Netflix, Prime, etc. And as far as audio goes, it's a mixed bag as well. The tech end (internet speeds, video/audio quality, etc.) need to keep up with the marketing end.
  17. I thought this originally too...but I resisted the urge. I had a pioneer elite that I was using for my home theater setup with a crown k2 doing the subwoofer duty, and that worked great. Then, about 10 years ago I decided to bite the bullet and buy separates. I went with the Emotive XPA-5 for the amplification still with the pioneer doing the processing. Then, a couple-o-years later I added the UMC-200 for the processor. That was fine as I liked the simplicity of the UMC-200. Well, since then I picked up a used XPA-5 (So I have 10 channels of amplification as I am running a 7.2 system using 9 of the 10 channels) After a while, the UMC 200 started getting buggy and yes, it had the latest software installed. To add fuel to the fire, two of the 5 channels on the XPA-5 I purchased used started having noise issues upon shutdown. Ugh! I started looking at the Emotiva MC-700 because I wanted my system to sound great and match...but I'm glad I decided to go with a better unit by a different manufacturer.... and for good reason....Emotive mysteriously stopped producing the MC-700... I'm guessing because they were sick of warranty claims for a product that just doesn't work correctly! I think it will be worth it to have my second Emotiva amp repaired because my original one is still running strong. Emotiva should have just stuck with building amplifiers! Anyway, I hope this helps. Now, I am getting the bug for a new processor as the one I currently have ( Integra DTC-9.8) doesn't pass a 4K signal. Not the end of the world as I currently go directly from my Oppo player to my TV, but it would be nice to have that option. ... let the search continue
  18. Hello all, I know, why am I looking for a pair of old RF-62's? Well, I had 4 RF-3's on surround duty....which is obviously way overkill, and I decided to pull those out. About a year ago I purchased a mint set of RF-62's for $200 (that actually came with a mediocre Yamaha receiver as well!) So, I am using these for side surrounds and I am looking for someone who is wanting to let their decade old RF-62's go so I can use them as back surrounds. Let me know if anyone has the itch to upgrade and let their set go!!! Thanks!
