  1. I might have just missed it but are you not selling a single 650 intended to be your center?
  2. Nice, I'm looking at getting Quartet for a center. I'm thinking is should match fairly well. Thoughts?
  3. Lol, well all I can do is shake my head and tell them to go look at the Heresy's vertical frequency response measurements.
  4. Did you consider using your Quartet as a center for your Forte III?
  5. You are right, laying a Heresy on its side would be a disaster for horizontal frequency response.
  6. I did but didn't make note of it. I need to again to see exactly how much space I really have to work with.
  7. Good question, and one I thought about myself. It really comes down to needing a horizontal center due to space constraints. I wish I could as it would be much cheaper/simpler
  8. Well I wouldn't build the cabinet like the Palladium, just thinking the driver configuration.
  9. I'm kicking around multiple ideas but if I used 12" I would only use a single. The main idea I'm thinking through currently is the Forte III high and mid horns and some other woofer(s), says a RP-8000F 8" or RP-600M 6.5". In my mind the primary concern is getting matching mid/high horns which would cover down to 650 hz if I used the same crossover. I'd use a horizontal configuration similar to other 3 way center speakers. Perhaps like the Klipsch Palladium center. This is the only Klipsch 3 way center that I know of.
  10. Thanks for that, exactly what I was thinking/wondering when I asked the original question.
  11. Forte IIIs, I'm toying with the idea of building a DYI center to match my new Forte IIIs with as many matched parts as possible.
  12. So the moral of the story is just call and try an order what I want?
  13. Newbie Klipsch owner question, does Klipsch let you purchase drivers, horns, crossovers if you like? If so is it as easy as calling them up and ordering over the phone with support? Thanks, Paul
  14. How did this experiment go? I was thinking of doing the exact same thing with my Forte IIIs for a center.
  15. Emotiva does make high quality amps, they flagship line is made in the USA too.
  16. I believe Klipsch has the same problem with most of their line especially the Heritage. Big money to buy a speaker you've never heard that is big and heavy. Thankfully I was able to everything before I purchased my Forte IIIs recently.
  17. Thankfully these prototypes are a 3 way design. This would correct in my view a design flaw in the RF-7 III as a 2 way. Take it to a 2.5 way design at least and its would be nearly golden.
  18. From what I've heard around the Tektob Double Impact is amazing.
  19. Awesome, thanks for sharing. How did you come up with the crossover design?
  20. I personally plan on using the GR Research RP-600M upgrade kit to get the most out of my 160Ms
  21. Any follow through with any of these ideas?
  22. Indeed I was told this and asked for no further clarification.
