Yea, it'll happen now that I've planted the seed. hahaha Have a pair of Klipsch "something" sittin in the garage taking up space. 15$ @ an auction? Someone had taken the horns out prior to the sale so no one wanted them but me. I was thunkin but it'd never fit in my rear deck and Roy would prolly have my story on the install hanging on the toilet stall door for everyone to read in Hope. He's sneaky like that me thinks! lolol

No new felt here and not even a table anymore. I used to hold my own but today it'd be ugly. I'll just give you guys a couple quarters and watch if that's ok. 😂 90% of my weight problem I believe is attributed to the military. I was always border-line w/the weight and could pass the PT test. I worked the "other" muscle group. I rode about 150 miles a week on my 18-speed and loved it. Jammin with the headphones on and crankin. Couple of us would ride 20 miles one way, do ice cream and ride 17mph back home a couple times a week. THAT kept the gut off and sweatin like a pig made it even better. The thing was, I worked directly for a 2-star. He had to rain on my parade EVERY time we'd run in formation. Fell in right behind me EVERY time just to watch. Yea, he was a pushin for sure and it got to be old. I loaded up eating garbage just to spite him That dude ran marathons and could prolly run backwards faster than most. So yea, you know what I'm thinkin. It worked in the military until I retired. Down hill from then on. Still rode but not as much then loaded up on crap cause I hate to cook. Then toss in getting older and it becomes even more complex. Today, after throwin in a new car system yesterday, I took a ride out thru the Ohio corn fields to give it a test run. Sounds amazing but on the way outta town I swung thru McD's drive thru w/my own mugga. 2 hours later the mugs empty and I feel like crap. Time to shoot up. I don't even hit McD's or any other places anymore. Blah. Lately I haven't even HAD to shoot up at times. Today? Sucks to be me. Been sittin here reading but after this morning I'm starting to wonder where that Weight Watchers pay up" cup is. Back to the grind I guess. lol

Good point and the best of reasons actually! You got it all werkin down there. At times I think I'm stayin alive just to spite the ex. Heck of a reason actually cause the Bee Gees song by that name really does suck imo. Make sure you've got the platform shoes on and know every one of those lil hand gestures and moves before you even attempt to go with the flow. 😂 💪 Interesting day yesterday. A good friend/s son and grandson started a car audio store years ago. I never thought I'd actually upgrade anything in what I drove but the bug hit. Knew the old speakers were trash but one day I caught static from the kid about how could I drive a car w/a system that totally sucked? Never listen to it anyway it's just noise but I do have my moments. Yesterday I caved. Grandpa always told me to tell his kid to give me the "DEAL!" You ALL know how that rolls. Either a deal or a wallet rape so I didn't say squat just bought 2 spkrs for the rear and was gonna blow off the doors. 26 year old immaculate Nissan Maxima my momma never drove. 130k on it but it's minty and a head turner. Old guy in old car. I laff and they make payments every month. So I go in yesterday to have 'em throw 'em in. Took dad & the kid 18 minutes to swap 'em and they had everything outta the rear end while jokin around w/me tellin stories on grandpa. So I upped my game. Wanna throw a pair in the doors since it's a cool day today? So they threw two in the doors. 25 minutes later done BUT I'd hit 'em with "the DEAL" story for another hoot. His kid remembered me and knew me but then... The right channel on the 26 year old never used radio went intermittant. WTF some DEAL right? Wrong. They had an Alpine they'd been hoarding. Some high roller dropped big bucks and his wife diddn't like it so he told 'em to pull it and put what SHE wanted in it. Told them to keep it cause he didn't want to see it again and wasn't gonna mess w/selling it so they did. Threw that in the car for FREE and laffed the entire time. Guy had it in his car for 2 weeks they said. The kid wanted to make money but dad said why. Just give it to him cause he's a good friend of dads. 😂 There is a God in heaven afterall. Poor grandpa got thrown under the bus but he'll take it well. Can't wait to hear HIS side of it all when we bump again. They were grinnin big time when I left but I was totally lost. I just turned it up. Haven't tinkered with it much but plan to. It flat cooks in that lil thing. lol Great 30 minute drive home. The down side? Daughter called last nite and wants to borrow the car for a couple hours today cause her brakes are shot but they couldn't do it til Monday. My poor new system, fresh outta the box is gonna have 2-Pac at max volume the entire time. Sucks to be me! Got her back though since she planted the seed. Put the OLD speakers in the new speaker boxes and gonna wrap them up and give 'em to her for Xmas. Gonna share the love! 😂 Gonna make a run to McD's for a snausage mc muffin w/egg now and show dem kids a thing or three. Takin my mugga with me cause their coffee sucks. Ha! Might take a lil drive out in the country too and eyeball the corn fields. High of 80 today, bit of rain last nite here in Duckburg but I think Imma gonna make it. At least until this eveniong when she drops the car off. Grrrrrrrr! lol

Bought an old Mac4100, had it gone thru and cleaned up, tied in an old Thorens TD-160 table and the Heresy are now beside the French doors about 8' away from me. No Dual's. lol If ya look at the pic you'll see my knee. I've got a glass and steel rack beside the oak black glassed cabinet the stuff sits on. My big JBL twin bass cab sits perfectly under an old 1" MSB store display cabinet covered on all sides w/black formica. Beside that is an old military solid oak cabinet. You think your tite? The cabinet cost me $40 and the black displaycabinet cost me 35. There's an inch of space on each end of the bass cabinet. Room on top for the TV box, which we all know are junk, and 127 remotes kinda maybe. My butcher block cost 1800 new and I picked it up at an auction for I think $110. Talk about heavy? Wow. Solid maple butcher top w/very little use. 3 years of nosin for it. Had to be right. Got a nice open drawer and a pull out cutting board. Drawer is new sleeves and junk. End of the shelves is my VPI cleaning machine. Everything came together perfectly in TIME and it was built on the cheap cause I'm cheap yet want the best for my system. No hurry here. So patience is a virtue. Oh yea, my "aura" above the Linn is a chopped down flourescent sewing embroidery light. My trusty old hacksaw chopped about 4 feet off the thing. Put it together and grinned. I wanna SEE what I'm doing when I change it up. $175 new but paid &15 and replaced the bulb about 6 months later for 40. Not takin ANY prisoners here and I miss that butt crack of yours but mine's older and prolly bigger. 😂 Be a cold day before I spend a couple k on a system rack cause I ain't gonna impress noooobody! Don't wanna either. Watchin jaws drop is my new hobby! I'm D.O.N.E.!ll

Givin it a full run and it's actually put together very well. Different yet holds your attention. A steady diet? Nope, but it's a nice change up you old tight wad! hahaha Keep it up and it'll look like this place. There is ZERO room. 5 piles standin on the floor with each one being about 18 inches long. I just happen to know a a rockstar who'd bend over w/his rear facing the audience shred his guitar between his legs and blow the seam outta his rear end EVERY time. SOOOOO, after every show that ONE guy NO ONE liked got to use one of these to seam his pants together. Kinda like when they first came out w/the Goodyear blimp cameraman. That ONE GUY no one liked got to ride in the blimp. Yeppers, he was gone for the day but he got to ride in the blimp for 4 minutes of glory during that event. Think about it and quit laffin!

Bit of runnin around in the hood this morning. Weatherman said a chance of sporadic showers. Nothin mentioned about a 30 minute downpour that had me thinkin about building an arc. Picked up a pair of Hertz MPX165 speakers for the OLD Nissan's rear deck since the older daughter pointed out how great the car stereo sounded. NOT! She's a 2-Pac kinda girl anyway. Blah. Thought about doing the install myself cause it's a simple switch. Figured I'd either get stuck in the trunk or a neighbor would walk by, see me and slam the deck lid shut. By the time someone found me in this heat I'd be all over the inside of the trunk. lol A skinny midget is gonna do it tomorrow for $40. Works for me. lol Thought about Focals all the way around but heck I normally cruise w/no radio anyway. Blah. Can do it all in the house. Why waste the money? lol

First I'd heard it was in the RIP thread here. Just crazy. That leaves Don Henley and Bernie Leadon as the remaining two. Last I heard Bernie was living in Nashville and his son had or maybe still has a great club down there but that was years ago. Who knows now. Sad though cause Randy contributed so much to so many just like they all do. Sad to hear for sure.

Hey @ClaudeJ1 I did the SAME thing walkin to school. Maybe a mile but my lil Emerson tansistor sister was thrown together w/some sort of headphones. They ALL laffed at me but I was havin the last laff. Told ya we were related you just dived in the deep end of it all and never came up. Look at you now. Case closed! I eventually found a truck inner tube complete w/Big Cat Malt Liquor or a Lil Kings and floated around in the pond havin visions! Sometimes in cut off sometimes nekkie. Depended on the menu for the day! 😂 I got your back big fella! 😂😎

Not at all but my mom loved them hence the piano lessons. Never listened to either of them actually. I was a kid with a bike and a love for music so when a Gulf gas station opened a block a way I went lookin for a job. They didn't have anything for a kid to do but since it was their grand opening they were giving away some FREE albums if you bought so much gas or had work done on your car. You remember that I'm sure. I saw 5-6 boxes sitting there opened up for the give aways. Never heard of any of em either but I wanted IN somehow when I saw that and the owners knew it cause I was lookin at em all. They said hey we've got some flyers you wanna ride around and put 'em on cars under the wiper blade? Yea buddy I WAS their MAN. I ran the gamit and the hospital was right across the street. SCORE! I also had a paper route so I put the flyers in the papers when I rolled 'em. Those two guys were gonna give me one of each but that wasn't the deal. I just wanted ONE for some reason. A Tommy Dorsey album of my own. I'd heard of him. That thing got played every day til it went into a pile when I started buying Motown. Still have it here and someday I'll dig it back out. Thanks for the memory cause it's a darn good album.
