    Which SUB?

My statement was that I can get a Velo DD-15 or a ML Descent for less than a PB12 Ultra (not the Plus). Dragon I don't think my associates would sell you product at cost but if you want a deal email me at mmiles@icrinc.net. Off to work... Regards, MIke

    Which SUB?

My wife also finds it humorous in constant upgrade mode... The current SVS is fine in my room (24 x 16 x 9 - large 8x10 opening to eating area an kitchen - carpeted flooring and drapes on the four 6 over 9 windows) however is anything in this hobby ever good enough. I am fortunate that I can get the Velo or the ML for actually less than the SVS not even considering what I will sell the PB2+ for = big bucks BTW, I've heard the VELO and ML in action... Regards, Mike

    Which SUB?

If I buy a new sub my SVS PB2+ (same as PB12 Plus2, purchased late January 2003) has to go... Velodyne DD-15 Martin Logan Descent SVS PB12/Ulra 2 Regards, Mike
  4. OK Ear what are your thoughts on the Velo DD series? Regards, Mike
  5. Looking to load a music server and want some content / download suggestions. Regards, Mike
  6. How about a 55" DLP. That way you get a bigger pic a save some $ or EURO. In Europe rooms (houses in general) are smaller than in the states. I think a 61" is on the edge of dare I say... to big. Regards, Mike
  7. Indy, I know you said 7.1 but the new PS AUDIO got rave reviews (5 channel version) in the upcoming WSR. I had breakfast with the reviewer and he thought it was a great product and both he and I feel "digital" (that damn D word) will soon start to take over the amp business. Good sound, reliable electronics, smaller chassis and no heat... Shoot me an email at mmiles@icrinc.net or call the office 410.548.2274. Would like to chat. How's the RS7's doing? Regards, Mike
  8. Must admit it was "nice" but... The new 1080p prototype from Projection Designs was bad tail! For the money I like the DWIN TV4. Regards, Mike
  9. FYI - Regarding the multi channel amps. Sorry 2 channel guys but reviews are pending for December and January in two high profile audio magazines. A leading magazine has reviewed the amp and the review will be in their October 2005 issue. The reviewer sums up the performance and the experience as "outstanding". Regards, Mike

  11. Lawyers, fraud, contracts... You guys should be ashamed. Isn't the opinion of senior and active forum member (garymd) enough that this was a mistake. I bet you guys hope you get shocked on your stove so you can sue the power company! Folks you just can't get something for nothing these days. That's in a store, from your neighbor or some old fellar who just made a mistake. However I am sure those complaining never made a mistake. I'd like to be around when you make your first one! Gary, when you coming down to the beach? Regards, Mike

  14. TheEAR and the sub station... How does the stack of RSW's keep from shaking in the floor under high SPL? Maybe your next gig should be the Genelec HTS6. This was one serious bad boy at CEDIA last year! Regards, Mike
  15. Tim, I "might" be changing to a Martin Logan or DALI configuration after CEDIA. What is your time frame? Regards, MIke
  16. Back boxes are bangin... Makes for a great install (clean) and should help in reducing resonance and vibration in the wall cavity. There you go! I'll be stopping by the both at CEDIA for my hat or t-shirt or whatever. Regards, Mike
  17. OLORIN has just cased over 30 homes without leaving his office...
  18. Numbers are great but don't for get TheEAR... Often times folks get caught in da numbas even before they take a listen. Again I'm just looking for some input before investing time and money in a line that might not work out long term. Thanks again for the input. Regards, Mike
  19. Others to consider: Mitsubishi. New models released last year are hot. Optoma. Excellent picture, one of the best maybe the best but it usually runs 30% + more than Samsung. Sim2. Great PQ and hot looking modern cabinet but $$$$ Loewe. Not sure of spelling. German and sweat... but like the Sim2 $$$ Again Samsung is a great "value" IMHO. Regards, Mike
  20. Again the "rep" states the sub has big gonads... He is so confident I can get an "eval" unit if I want to do some testing. Might try it, who knows? Thanks for the replies. I know a sub question would wake up "The Ear". Regards, Mike
  21. Any experience or comments on this product? Our contact states it has a reputation of being a REL killer over in the UK. Regards, Mike
  22. Drop me a PM when you come down. I'll be at CEDIA Sept. 8 - 12. Regards, Mike
  23. SAMSUNG IMHO the best picture and value of current DLP's. Regards, Mike
  24. That is a great deal (at our below cost acutally)! At CES a few booths used "Cinenova" electronics and Earthquake speakers. One in particular was Optima and it sounded great! As far as reviews Home Theater Magazine raved about thier five channel product in 2000 but the newer seven channel unit in this months HTM did OK but not as hot as before. Regards, Mike
  25. As a follow up to my 7/20/05 posting. This is a reduction of $200 to move them out. There are only two units available at this blowout price. 35% off MSRP and free shipping on this monster! I'm giving the K-forum first dibs... Regards, Mike
