I picked up some crossovers to rebuild for my recently acquired KP-250s. I knew they were a little funky but they had the autoformer and some of the other parts I needed. Last night I sketched out what was actually on the board vs the actual schematic. Wrong and substituted parts in pink. Replacement parts have been ordered and the KP-250s should be back together in time for some Halloween parties outdoors at the end of the month. It’s been a beautiful day here in western North Carolina. I ran a load of trash to the dump and then went to grab a cup of coffee at my usual place downtown. There was some sort of little festival going on today and all of the usual parking was blocked off so I parked next to my buddy’s gun store and went in and had a chat before hiking a few blocks to get my fix. I came back to the house and called @Marvel up and we talked for the rest of the afternoon. Now it’s time to make some dinner.

Ran through some more bourbon at my buddy’s shop on Sunday afternoon. The Bowman Brothers Small Batch continues to impress.

That’s the joke. 😂

That was a fantastic deal.

Knock $700 off that.

They need a little attention but they were actually the cheapest set of Heresy family that I’ve ever bought.

I’m still happy with my 4.75% fixed rate and a payment I can afford.

I’m confused, I thought you were the first to mention Jazz Master and I thought you were saying that Marvel’s bass might be one.
-
Jazz Master is a six string guitar with a tremolo bridge and two pickups.
-
I used to know but I think I forgot.

My squier bronco bass had a single coil Strat pickup in it, a cheap ceramic bar magnet with 6 pole pieces and a solid plastic cover. i routed the body and pickguard a little bit and fitted a jazz bass pickup. the pole piece spacing on the pickup is a little wider than it needs to be but it sounds miles better than the original pickup.

I think the Music Master bass was the budget version of the Mustang bass and had the straight single coil Strat type pickup.
-
The short scale basses are fun and easy to play but I can’t get myself to completely leave the full size Jazz Bass.
-
I think the Mustangs had the small split pickup like that.

Rat fur sounds like a good way to hide speakers made out of sawdust.

That’s beautiful.

My local town Facebook group is a happening place. Everybody hates each other and everything is the town council’s fault.

I cooked a bunch of red snapper the last time I was in Florida. It was fresh caught that morning and sold at one of the shops near the in-laws house in Carrabelle. I think I did it broiled in the oven with a lemon glaze of some sort. Lately I tend to smoke salmon on a cedar plank with a little sea salt and black pepper and topped with some finely chopped fennel.

I tried for years to make things work with my wife. It’s just not possible when only one of you is actually trying and the other is mentally ill.

Frank’s is fine for a little mild flavor. My youngest prefers Texas Pete. we go through a large bottle every few weeks

That was “Ian and the Workin Boys”. I think that was the year that I also played with “EMP” as the final act at the festival.
