33K....I have to tell you that you will ALWAYS be happy with your Forte's. I personally own a pair of the Forte I's and I have never been happier. Origionally, I almost bought Chorus but the Bass was really overpowering (and I love Bass) but the Forte's were perfect in every way! Bass, Mids and Highs are balanced out. I love em and I really have not heard anything else that I like better. You have to put them to the test with different genres of music. Try these samples for your test.... "The Firebird" (Igor Stravenski), "Courtney Blows" (Soul to Soul) and "Africano/Power Medley" (Earth Wind & Fire-Gratitude album) I'm "ol skool" so I am driving them with a Sansui S-X1200 reciever (120 per side) with upgraded interconnects. You're right....they don't make em like they used to.

Great comments Mdeneen! There are truly alot of people blinded by what is going on with all of this. It's funny, if we wanted peace we would have peace but you can't make any money from peace. That's the republican way! This whole thing is about oil and the control of it.....nothing more! The present administration running this country now are all old oil type people. Our activities in this region are totally against our constitution. If we wanted to catch Osama we would but he has to be kept alive so that all of our activities seem legit. It keeps fear alive in some American people. (don't think that the CIA or Mosaud know exactly where he is) We are in an unfortunate state of affairs and there is nothing we can do about it except exercise our right to vote and get this fool out of office. He has got to go! My prayers go out to all of the young people in the service who have to be involved with this nonsense. I pray that they all will come home soon.

Personally, don't buy Sony audio products. I own a Sony 5 disc changer (CD445) and have recently found out that it has trouble reading recordable cds. It's all garbage! TV's yes, audio no. I know personally two individuals who had their ES receivers burn up on them. Don't take a chance on their audio products...it's just a name!

I'll be going to a Superbowl party where my partner just got a set of RF-7's. He claims that his RF-7's sound better than my Forte's but I have not heard them yet. So more than likely, we will be sampling music and talking a whole bunch of **** to see who will take home the bragging rights.

Hey......I like EQ's. The Spectrum Analyzer makes my system look cool. It's kinda funny when I get the ooos and ahaaas from non audiophile types who really don't know. Do I actually need it? NOT! My Forte's definitely do the job quite well without it not to mention that the EQ does add noise.

I have been heartbroken ever since Koss stopped making the model HV1-LC Stereophones. Truly the best headset that I had ever owned.

Hey gang....I am still a vinyl kind of audiophile and I have a Dual 510 belt drive that I have had since 1977. I just recently rehabbed it (Ortofon cart, belt, AR cables, etc) but I am getting alot of feedback whenever volume pushes about 35 -40 percent. Any ideas on what the problem is?

I am driving a set of Forte's with a Sansui AU-X701 (100w per ch). In your opinion, is this a good match?

Yeah...now that he is losing his hearing, maybe he will lose his speech too and end up like ol' ronnie boy so we don't have to listen to his rederic any longer. How could this guy possibly be an audiophile. He doesn't have any taste or class.

I totally agree with you A. The Forte is a quiet as it's kept secret. I bought mine new and have not wanted nor heard anything better! I am an ol' skool, 2 channel kind of guy. My stereo system is totally seperate from my ss system. I am driving my Forte's with a 100 w Sansui AUX-701 integrated amp....very clean and more than enough to drive them sufficiently! The highs, mids and bass (especially the bass) are exceptionally tight and crisp. A totally awesome speaker! A friend of mine just purchased a set of RF 7's and says that they sound much better than my Forte's. I doubt it. I will be checking those out later.
