  1. He has been like for a long time, cousin joe likes to work the crowd, it's better than paul he likes to throw poop at people.
  2. OK I know I'm old but what is this "realfeel" thing about ? Is the woke way of describing the weather ? If you tell the temp, humidity and wind speed you can guess how it's going to feel, or is it for the same people who require that metal tag on my woodstove that say Caution Hot?
  3. I felt the same way right up until I had them changed, not a small difference but a big difference anyone could hear and mine were very old. I guess it all comes down to how far out of spec they are. My ears are not great and I heard a huge difference with mine, it was AA crossovers on a different speaker but still really old capacitors which is the point here. Caps are not hard to change if one can solder and they do not have to be silly prices, just replace with the same values as to not change the design. Probably one of the cheapest changes that can be made to improve the sound if the old caps are out of spec. I am not a trained listener, much more a casual listener enjoying the music not the setup but it is easy to hear what just sounds better to me after 50 years of hearing different speakers and systems. I don't want to be a critical listener I chose to just enjoy the music. New versus old speaker designs I tend to go with the new models in most cases. New designs are compared to older models to make then sound better with newly designed parts that were not designed at the time of the original speaker design. I have three different Forte's designs the original, the 2 version and the 3 version but not the 4 version. Side by side each progression sounds better including the 4th version. But like with everything, we all hear and like what we like which is fine, that is how it should be. Just is just my ideas using an old set of ears and what I think sounds better.
  4. I was wondering if that could be done, between the really low humidity and heat, just watch out for critters. I get up sometimes like that, but after reliving some pressure I go back to bed. The good thing is I go to sleep in less than a minute and tend to sleep about 8 hours automatically.
  5. A solar stove should work great where you are at. BUT if you get up in the AM before sunrise nevermind. But why get up that early anyway? (just me)
  6. Back then I never knew about Klipsch, so I never looked. The place I talked about, the Warehouse, had the best sound by far. Some big names for such a small place, well small compared to giant arena. This a website for the place which is long gone, at the bottom of the page is a band list starting in 1970. I remember many great shows there, and some I barely remember, I wish it was still operating. http://www.blackstrat.net/ Look at the prices
  7. Seen that before, even with the biggest bands the sound was terrible depending on the venue. Then there were places like the Warehouse or riverboat President in N.O. where the sound was great. The Warehouse was ideal, an old wooden building, all wood and wide open.
  8. No, but if I wore it with high heels and makeup it would be another story, a sad, ugly, lonely story.
  9. That's a good thing most people have a weight problem, I have never been skinny, now 6'2" and 250-255, I need to lose 25 pounds, I feel better at that weight. The older I get the harder it is to lose but I am trying, no sugar or carbs. Maby I need to get a Sarong ?
  10. That's how it works if your trying to gain weight, I never had that problem it was the easy part, I didn't have to even try.
  11. When once on the road we stopped at a DQ because I thought of a real malt which I had not had in so long I couldn't remember. It was really good, but at the same time it felt like I was gaining 10 pounds it was so rich, I still ate the whole thing.
  12. To me I think it's how it sounds live, or closer than all other speakers I have had. With the dynamic range and efficiency plus voicing it gives more of that sound as if you were watching a live show in person.
  13. When I need lighter I put the stain on and quickly wipe it off, usually takes a couple coats depending.' Since you did body work if you decide to use poly it sprays fine even though some say don't spray it. I always spray poly, it's fun, a brush is not fun to me. This is a satin poly on a sub, I was happy the way it came out,
  14. The stain is the easy part to just wipe on, I use regular stain not the gel or other things, and you need darker apply again and let sit longer before wiping off. Leave it sit for days at least before using oil or polyurethane. I did my MWM cabinets in Oak stain than oiled them with Tung or linseed oil, can't remember which. With either of the oils be sure to wipe off as much as possible between coats and on the last coat, leave only what soaks in. I found about a year later they needed another coat, it started to look a little dry. Also have some Oak Oil Forte 11's from the factory and a pair of Oak clear. Being how old they both are I can't tell a difference, I guess the oll finish got as hard as the poly finish over time ?
  15. I got one years ago to adjust live voltage between consumer and pro gear. The DX 38 did not match up with consumer gear. NO lights would light on the DX with that low of a signal the Clean Box Pro fixed it, it is exactly what it is designed for. When Roy was looking for something to volume match tubes and SS for the Klipsch listening room I told him about it, he read about it and overnighted one to the plant to use for a plant tour. Mine is still working fine after years.
  16. I herd about that being the problem, I know nothing about CB radios but it made sense. I was told it can even be picked up in the wire going to the speakers if the signal was strong enough ? I would imagine that would get you in alot of trouble, but I guess it just happen to be on the same frequency and worked.
  17. No never tried that, but years ago I did get a couple of CB conversation's once, it was automatic nothing was done on my part for sure and it was quite surprising Glad it did not last.
  18. I'm not sure I have seen the third but I did like him. Another movie similar a little with action anyway was "London has fallen", liked it also.
  19. Going to work, Hope until next week.
  20. Dirtmudd, I would need more coffee and more cake, at least more coffee.
  21. The license plate like in the picture, those were sold by Klipsch in the past. The ones the museum has in not a stamped type it is flat. Why they and other things are not on the museum page is a good question, I thought this was done way over a year ago, guess not. It looks like this
  22. So am I, might be why I like them ?
  23. Were fine, for old people anyway. Were OK, well I am unless your a psychiatrist then your going to be busy or at least amused. Don't think I have ever seen 10% R/H, 30 to40 probably. You can sweat in the shade with a fan on you here, that's normal.
