The only downer was thet the guy was the original owner, took them out of the boxes to show them for sale, but threw away the original boxes a couple of days ago.

Came across these today and could not pass them up. Price was fair and these were beautiful. I have never seen this finish on Fortes. Anyone that can de-code the rear sticker, please help. I'm not sure what I'll do with them, but I would like to learn more.

It is a VTF-3 MkII and I did buy it. Haven't had a chance to hook it up yet. I'll keep you informed.

I currently have the Sub-12 in my HT. I found a deal on the HSU VTF-3 MKII for about $200. I know it's a great deal, but is it an upgrade over the Sub-12? Any thought from anyone who has owned either or both and compared them would be appreciated.

That looks like a great price on the KLF-C7. You might buy that and trade for an RC-35. Or you could sell it for enough of a profit to pay for an RC. I'm not sure what the RC's go for. Just a thought.

If your room is not too large, they would make a decent surround system. You would definitely need a subwoofer. I personally use only 5.1 system. Don't think I'll ever go to 7.1.

I live about 30 miles from Gulfport. I have asked to inspect them before bidding.

They ran the Sub-10 at $249. My local store had about 15 of them in stock, but not one Sub-12. Those were not on sale though.

I have Mach 1's and Kg4's in my garage. The 2 8" woofers on the kg's put out a lot more and tighter bass than the MAch's 15". No contest.

They look to me like the woofers from a pair of Sw-12 subs.

Without an A/B comparison, just looking at the specs, I would think the difference would not be noticeable. I would buy whichever you find first.
