demi klf
Hey guys, I hope that I can get someone's opinion on a dilemma I am facing. I am in the process of setting up 7.1 with my denon avr 3805. I will be using klf 20's for my mains, rc 64 center, and rs 62 for side rears. I have a set of RS-52's and a set of kg 2.5's. I'm trying to figure out which speakers would be best for my rear surrounds. I'm leaning towards using the RS-52's for rear surrounds.....I'm just not sure if rear surrounds should be a front firing speaker like my KG 2.5 or if it is better to have a triangle speaker like the RS 52 for rear surrounds. Any input would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
Moderators Youthman Posted November 29, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 29, 2008 Most would suggest using direct firing (RB series) for rear surrounds and wide dispersion speakers (RS Series) for the side surrounds.

Eskimo1
IMO, sell your current center channel, pick up a KLF-C7, and you can buy an inexpensive pair of direct-firing speakers for the rear surrounds with the difference..
abjonesiii
yeah i agree with the front firing. I'm using RB-61's for mine.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 30, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2008 I have the RB-35's for my rears.
Rich_Guy
I am using four RS-3 II's for my surrounds (2 side, 2 rear) and love them, I like the sound much better than direct firing surrounds I have had in the past as the rear effects blend all around the rear and don't seem to come from a specific place. Klipsch surround speakers also look great mounted on the wall. My fronts are RF-5's and my center is an RC-7.
