kyle bermingham
I am curious to hear what others thought of this movie; I loved it. It is a shame it had a limited release.
toddvj
I thought it was an excellent movie. Depressing, but excellent. The sad thing is his life is the reality for a lot of professional wrestlers. I've looked up some of my old heroes, and it's pretty sad. Anyway, the movie, excellent, with top notch acting. Mickey Rourke definitely deserves the Oscar Nomination, and possibly the award (haven't seen all the others yet). And Marissa Tormei, at 44 years old. Wow!! Let's just say for all you gentlemen who appreciate the female form, you will enjoy this movie for her part in it, even if nothing else. Not to take away from her acting of course, she was also excellent in this movie. And yes, it is very much a shame that it had a limited release. I had to resort to "other methods" to watch this movie. A movie that I would have gladly shelled out the cash to see. I was very excited about it well before it was released. I don't understand why they do that.
jacksonbart
Gonna watch it when it comes out on DVD. I really liked Barfly, but man did Mikey make some mistakes in plastic surgeons.

jacksonbart
His face got messed up because he quit acting to become a boxer. I knew he boxed but WOW! I am guessing he spent a lot of time in the ring with his arms down at his side. Based on his face, his brain must be mush.
