wuzzzer
Does your player have the latest firmware upgrade?
srphelps
yes i did the upgrade the other night. however i dont think my hdmi cable is 1.3 do you think that would do it?
tommyboy
No, your HDMI cable wouldn't have anything to do with it. I would contact Sony and ask them. I have the same player, and mine has never done anything like that......

srphelps
this blu-ray thing is all new to me my tv can not handle 24p why i dont know however its about 3 years old so i think its working ok now if anyone wants to chime in and explain this to me i'm all eyes
wuzzzer
I guess it just comes to the fact that very few TVs are 24fps capable. I think there's a list over at avsforum.com that shows what TVs are 24fps capable.
RockOn4Klipsch
The sony s550 does a greatjob at rendering 24fps which the PS3 did not do a good job at, not sure about the s350. Blu Ray discs are more often then not shot a 24fps vs the refresh rate of SDVD 60fps. This gives the br disc a smoother overall apearance through action scenes and what not.... I think....
