SilverSport
can anyone recommend speaker stands for RB-5s used in a 2 channel environment???...brands, models that are better perhaps than others???...I would like to avoid sand, water and lead shot but I am open to your recommendations and experiences... Thanks, Bill

colterphoto1
Sanus European Foundations (EF) for high tech look, Wood Foundations(WF) for wood. Nice heavy bases with great hardware, available in a variety of heights and styles. WoodTechnology.com has some too, including some nice stands for center speakers. How's that? If you fill them for stability, only go half way up and NO SAND- it attracts moisture and will rust your stands. Lead shot in heavy bags is the way to go. kelA
I use the Sanus wood foundation stands for my RB5II, and they are decent. I have cherry in both speaker and stand and it is a pretty close match.

kelA
I believe I have the 24" stands. This puts the horn at eye level when seated.
darylomer12
I actually have a fairly new pair of Sanus stands I was using for my RB75&35's if your interested. I purchased them early Feb. and ended up switching to RF-5's again. I still have the box and packing for them. I paid $150 but will sell them to you for $75 + shipping. Here is the link with the model number... http://www.standsandmounts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2004 Here is a picture of them with my RB-75's....

michael hurd
You could always go low-tech and put them on a bucket that's upside down, or a few cement blocks. You might even start a new trend, call them the 'recession buster stands'.
