kuisis
I wonder if anyone can tell me what type of wood would be used when the finish is raw? The label on the 1954 Khorn I have now just says raw, but it doesn't look like birch, it has a much nicer grain. Tom
SilverSport
I would check with Bob Crites on your crossovers as I believe he has rebuilt some of the old ones like yours...as for Raw...any pics of the labels or such???...Klipsch has used Fir, Baltic Birch and Mahogany (as I am sure many more) in the raw form...pics of the cabinets themselves??? Frzninvt
That looks like Birch but it does not look "raw" someone must have put a stain and finish on those at some point.
colterphoto1
I concur, looks like a finished Birch to me.

kuisis
I just got a mahogany peach cabinet and it matches grain almost exactly. The finish job is as good as on the other one which is Prima Vera. I put on some orange oil and it brought out the grain. My iphone camera isn't the best so I'm going to have to use Neal's picture for now. Tom
