J.4knee
Anyone see it in IMAX 3D yet? We just got back from doing just that. Awesome 3D effects, storyline was predictable but the effects were incredible. I highly recommend it.

fastlane
I really loved the 3d and special effects. Couldn't believe James Cameron sucked me into another love story though.
Groomlakearea51
Sci-Fi Comfort Food (or so said my wife!!!!). Notwithstanding the political statement....., I always like movies where the good guys win! Fascinating graphics technology. Saw it last Saturday in the Rave 3D, yesterday watched the interviews with Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver on DTV. With marketing it cost about $250M to make. It's already cleared over $100M, so it looks like Cameron's gamble will pay off. That technology is going to change how we see films, for sure. J.4knee
IMO it will put the standard big screen out of business if they do not convert. Simply mazing, the 3D trailers previews were awesome too. It is just a completely different experience. We were seated so the sound system could offer its best, the subs moved your pant legs (at the back end of the front third of the theater), surround effects simply enveloped you, which was surprising because the actual system was fairly modest but very well set up. winchester21
2 reports from friends- both thumbs up- silly story- political garbage toward the end- but totally awesome effects. Needs to be viewed in 3D Gonna be a killer Bluray keeper. I may see it in the theater if time permits. def buy as as soon as released on Bluray
J.4knee
If possible I recommend to try make the time, the 3D is really worth it.
Groomlakearea51
[Y] on Blu-Ray. This may force me over to consider a Blu-Ray player next year. It's well over $100M as of today and CNN (always a reliable source... [H]) are estimating $1B within a year which would make it the highest grossing film of all time. jbsl
I may see it in a regular theater first and then a 3d theater to see the difference, also my sister cannot handle 3d. Knowing Cameron he will figure out a way to release a 3d blueray dvd and take blueray to the next level.
Me Loves Khorns
Really was amazing in 3D. Did have lots of political undertones, but was a great movie. Try to see it in 3D. I really hope this is a trend in movie making!
winchester21
It is certainly looking like this is a must see for anyone who is into HT. It is all the talk form the gearheads who I know. If this technology is the next level I wonder what kind of HT gear will be required to switch over? Hopefully just a DVD player.
