A lot of sports "fan" slogans just sound dumb. Pacers have "Boom Baby." "Who's Your Daddy" (but sounded more like Hoosier Daddy) was going around IU for a while, although I think that one is fairly common.

I guess they have their place when the crowd gets into it, but away from the moment they just sound silly.

I won't utter those words either--i just think it's dumb (and I actually like the saints).

Your right it is dumb, but the way many things we say down hear sound just as dumb. Like "ware yat", "ha's ya moma and dem", there is a complete way to communicate without sounding "normal". Go a little more into South West Louisiana and there is another completely different sound I even have a hard time understanding.

Every time I type something here have to go out of my way to make it somewhat free of these sayings so everyone can understand what I am saying.

It's just what happened over the years from so many different cultures blending together, it's also in the music here and in the food, it just happened that way I guess ?

"Da Bears" is passable. But mostly because of the Saturday Night Live skit. Smile

maybe. but only if they're handing me a "cheeburger, cheeburger."

True story. This guy was about to be executed in Texas. He was asked if he had any final words. he did--he said, "Go Raiders."

Can't understand why the still executed the guy, he had obviously been rehabilitated.

There is nothing like being in the Collesium BART station on gameday and seeing some poor soul wearing the opposing team's colors. Went to a Raider/Bronco Monday night game. This poor guy was standing at the bottom of the escalator wearing a bronco jersey. He looked terrified. He wouldn't even look at anyone. This very intimidating voice from the crowd yelled, "You'd better pray that your team loses." As I walked by, this guy was telling his friend, "I ain't saying a word."
